Hello all. I just wanted to share some characters that I have been working on lately. I have been struggling with anatomy but I think I am finally getting to grips with it. Still have to have plenty of ref images though. LOL Any feedback would be good as I would love to one day land a job in games. Thanks!!!

The goblin character started out as a try to make something cute for once. But it some how went down the wrong path. I used the same base mesh for the 3 together, then scaled it in places to make the big goblin. My idea was to put them all in a scene together. But all the polygons made Modo choke and die.

wow those all look really good for those type characters. Definitely look like they should be in a game now How long have you been modeling in 3d? You might try some field of depth with them or blurring some of the edges of the creatures to match the background more. you can do it in z or an outside program, but you probably already know that. This is just my opinion and I am not a pro or anything. Just an observation.

    keep us updated

The next character is called The Freak. I was playing a lot of Borderlands and Fallout. And thought about a character with a mutated body and an extra arm. He did have a gas mask on, but it block all the work I did on the face.

Thanks Ron. I have been doing 3d for over 10 years but only been doing characters since zbrush 3.0. Before that, I didn't have the mental strength it takes to move verticies one at a time to make wrinkles. LOL. I will keep what you said in mind about matching the background.

Really nice, how did you achieve the effect on the jumper?

How did you render ZBrush or Maya?

I like this work! Its very clean and well thought out. Are you planning to dirty him up a bit or is he more of a statesman?

    Thanks for the comments guys.

@Mouthrax: The effect on the shirt is just a texture of fabric I found and changed it to fit the shirts UV's. The character is rendered in Modo, but the textures look washed out compared to how they look in Zbrush.

@hyper1: I may add some more dirt later on. This was just supposed to be a quick model because I plan on doing a few bounty hunters. But it is going on two weeks now.

This is a screen grab right out of Zbrush. The polypaint seems much more detailed then the render in Modo. I exported out a 2k texture map.
