    Default Monster Face

This is an image inspired by a concept by the talented Kashubo Ivan http://kashivan.blogspot.com/

Used Zbrush for sculpting and texturing, 3ds Max for modeling the armor, mental ray for rendering and finally Nuke for compositing.

I hope you enjoy this image as much as I had fun making it

I like the material work. I'm not a fan of the Mohawk, is has now been ruined forever by thousands of lame technerds blooming decades too late. Nice face, I like the eyes.

what a gorgeous render. The eyes are awesome. They really put the life into the character. Fiberbrushed hair?

Yarim - yeah maybe a little bit, but I'm getting different results on different monitors so I have no idea how it really looks

davidness, Santis, asecbrush, julien n - thank you guys!

aridiel - I used the default hair system in Max for the hair. I used mental ray to render it instead of scanline.

nwargasm - I was thinking of giving him an afro but then thought lets just keep to the concept, looked nice there :P.

Ron Harris - No it was Hair and Fur in 3ds Max

kashivan - thanks man, keep them coming :P.

Anyway, here is a shot out of zbrush:

    Very nice

Will you be rendering a pass of this character for your showreel?

    Cheers, Claude
