    Default Darth Bane

Well, anyone who knows who he is had most likely read the book and loved it. I myself have read it 8 times, and it is my favourite book of all time, so I have decided to sculpt a tribute to the most badass sith in the history of Star Wars.
No real need to critique just yet as Ive only just started (unless there is something major)
    Here's a start.

Here is my reference. Im not trying to duplicate this but it is the closest representation of the book I've seen.

When you finished your Darth Bane we'll pitch him against my Darth Plagueis and see who wins .

Did 2 hours of Cintique 12WX wrinkle sculpting today. Coming along nicely. Any critique would be good now, but keep in mind, the cheekbones are meant to be defined.

Well Ive pretty much completed the head. Just need to fix the eyes a bit, and
add a hoodie. Maybe create the rest of the body too if I don't get bored.
CRITICISM IS WELCOME!!! srsly I need criticism to know what Im doing wrong. I honestly am shocking with proportions.

It might help if you post a front and side view with perspective turned off.

Here are my suggestions for improvement:

    WIP Head4a.jpg

Your eyes and eyesockets are the main issue. The black lines indicate where you should pay more attention to the underlying anatomy.
    Hope that helps.

Note that this is not picture perfect because I did it in 5 minutes flat but it should help you on your way.

Keep working on it. I'd like to see how you finish it .

Thanks heaps for that help, but keep in mind the character I am modeling originally came from a comic, and is a 2.1 meter tall bodybuilder who has been working in the mines for 25 years and has had many fights. The black outlines gave me a good idea on what to work on. I haven't changed much but I rendered a turntable to give a better perspective on what he looks like currently. The orthographic made him a bit dis-proportioned in my opinion.
Here is a collection of references of Darth Bane I got from
    stranger86 on deviantart

    And here is the turntable:

Well I quickly sculpted a hood yesterday to test lighting, and finally figures out by myself why the shadows weren't working properly.
    So here is the hood:

And Here is the Head with shadows. I modified the ears so theyre looking much better now thanks to a guy on 4Chan /3/.

It may not loko like much progress, but I have been fiddling around for 2 hours finding what looks best, and finally I have it. I'm gonna do a sketch of the body and start work on it soon.
