Color Testing, quickie.

Nice design.
My only crit is that the butt is too high, it's a common mistake in drawing and modeling a biped to place it at the bottom of the crotch. It actually goes down into the leg. Now I understand this is not a earth being, but even still there is a sever break, the muscle doesn't seam to attach to the leg at all, and just looks like some kinda bags hanging off the back of the pelvis.

Fixing this should give a greater level of believably to this creature.

*blinks* Sheesh, I get laid up with an aching big toe I have to keep elevated. Turn around and boom this thread has grown I really like the last shot you made of the chimp. Your last female doodle though. Her face and head seems very young to me and just doesnt match her body. Viewed seperately , I think you did a good job on both body and head.

I am liking your last creature. The last color test is bringing him to life.

yeah, they look more like a pair of balls *gnihihi*, and have
also be a bit more integrated into the muscles.

Good point about the girl. With that face she should have
looked more teen-aged. Its actually hard to age girls in
3D without making them look like an old hag.

Some more on the Lizard guy.
Worked a bit on the texture, and the back musculature.
His butt was also a bit resculpted, not sure about lowering
it, it looked weird.

The high butt can be explained simply as it's an alien.
It definitely looks loads better with the re-sculpt of it's posterior.

A little breakdown of the process. I'm doing this mainly
to rationalize what I'm doing there. Its actually a lot
more inbetween steps than I was aware of. These are
just the most "important" steps.

Cool, the mouth kinda reminds me of Scorpius from Farscape.
Like the multiple lens, gives a creepy spider vibe to the piece.

Yeah, the grim expression and the crooked teeth are a bit
similar, I agree.

Not right now. Have not really thought about that. He would probably
have a kind of full body armor with some russian insignia and
markings on it. Paramilitary police force like the Ministry of Internal
Affairs in Russia for example. But these are just loose ideas.
