Added some details, changed the suit/armor, feet smaller.
I found that the "Reduce Mesh"-Brush was very helpful, as the
    Model got too big again.

I'm having a bit of trouble when modelling the hard surface details
like the suspensors, or the generator on his back, its almost never
looks clean enough. Has someone a good tut on that ?

    MOHAWK-WIP

Working on this Mohawk Guy since yesterday.
I'm trying to learn how to texture paint in Sculptris, and its a
real bitch so far. One thing I don't like about this is that the
export of the Texture Map only produces a very scattered looking
Map which I obviously can't edit further in Photoshop.

And yes, CRAZY HAIRSTYLE IS CRAZY...*twitch*

Have you used the PSD export tab? If you have and dont like it
Probably your best bet is to open it up in blender and make a more traditional UV map, Sculpts look good bud

Using the "Export PSD" Tab only provides me with a layered psd.
It contains a fully rendered image with "bump","shade" and "paint" layers.

But thats not what I need. I then tried the "Save Texmap", but it created
a really badly "scattered" Map which is not really usable for painting.
Maybe I just exported it wrong ?

I'll give Blender a try for the UVW Map as you said . That seems to be a more sensible approach.

I think these will help you:

    Sculptris Projection Mapping
The .pdf is very easy to understand.

Thanks, I'll work through that one.

Thank you for the tutorial. That will help once I get to that point. It never hurts to be prepared.

Allright, last Harkonnen image for now. I will give it a rest after that.
Texture Painting came out pretty well. Some additonal tweaking and
finetuning done in PS. The "glowing" Parts are just texture painted. They
appear flourescent through the contrast. Nice effect anyway.

Contrary to my previous post, I just couldn't leave the baron alone.
I texture painted one of the early sculpts (some minor PS tweaking).

Another Render with SeanJM's lit_sphere_clay material.
I need to work on the teeth. Too unfinished.

    Cool. It's looking good.

Your Baron is really neat. Reminds me a bit of the style from TF2.
