ZBrush 4 - Spotlight Tutorials

Hi Pixo,

I created 3 tutorials video about Spotlight.
Because English is not my native language, I used a digital voice (sorry for this)

I am a Macuser and I’m really fall in love about LightBox with ZBrush 4.
Thanks Pixologic for this amazing update.

I hope you enjoy watching these videos

Didn’t know Stephen Hawking is using zBrush too :stuck_out_tongue:

But seriously, thanks for the tutorial

Thank you for the video demonstrations, much appreciated!

You’re welcome

Thanks very much:+1:

Excelent!!! Lots of useful tips!! Thanks so much:+1:

It was very smart of you to use GhostReader to do the voice for you. I know that it can be difficult for a native speaker from another country to get a message across. It is a bit like the Stephen Hawking voice but much nicer to listen to.

Thank you for the great tutorials and keep up the good work.

Well Done.

PS: People have made comments about my voice in my tutorials in the past even though I am a native English speaker. Some good and some bad.

It is fantastic, with great background music…

Thank you soo much… :+1:

Is possible to download the 3 tutorials?
thanks in advance

If you use Firefox there are loads of extension that let you download youtube video. This is one of many http://www.downloadhelper.net/

Thanks very kind!!

Nice tutorials…thanks!

Hi Eric…

I’m delighted with your tutorial but you already know that… =) However, I am missing a step (Some where between nudging the texture I must have missed a step because I cannot paint the texture on the character … )

I see the photo in the spot light but it won’t apply to the character…

You’re welcome everybody

Tara, if you can’t paint, before painting try to active “Polypaint from texture” on your Polypaint palette (Tools palette > Polypaint)

Let me know

Hi Eric, thank you very much for your tutorial.
In your tutorial the procedure seems very easy, but i’ve learned that to make things A LOT easier i need good photos of the same dimension like yours and the most importat thing is to model a bit the head before use the spotlight
I’ve used the spotlight method on a premodelled head and i had problem on ears, so the best thing is prepare the mesh before the painting.

Ah, the nudge tool sometimes create graphic bug on my textue, maybe depend on the quality of the texture?

Sorry for my english and thank you very much again :+1:

Hi Kenji,

indeed, all photos used in the tutorial are 3360x4992, better is your photo, better is the result. You need also have enough resolution in your mesh. Hope that help you

Again, Thank you very much for taking the time to break this down.
much appreciated : )

Hi Eric,
so this is where you defected to…LOL  …sure beats Rendo, huh ?
Thanx for these tutorials, I thought my ZB4 was damaged, but now I know where I was going wrong

Keep up the good work :+1: and say hi to Frenchy Pilau for me

Cheers jif3d :sunglasses:

These are excellent tutorials. Highly recommend for anyone new to Spotlight. Great job. :+1:

as another option you can just add the word save infront of youtube links

Hi great tutorial but I still have a doubt what is the spotlight menu in the light box used for and also I was using some textures from the WWW feature in lightbox but due to power cut I lost all the images that I had hand picked, which really took long, so I was wondering is there a way to save those images for later use.
Thanks in advance.
