Default Nothing Says 'I Love You' Quite Like...

    ...this elegant, hand-crafted ****roach pendant.

Renowned the world over for their indestructibility, the ****roach is a symbol of endurance. Now this verminous pest has been captured in luxurious fake gold and plastic rubies for that special lady to wear close to her heart, and her boobies. It is a gift she will never ever...ever forget. or forgive you for.

Ok, it isn't exactly photo-realistic, it was just me playing with a few materials for half an hour.

Default Nope, not possible for me.

I took four screenshots of the insect, each a different material. I then put each on a seperate layer in Paint.Net, and cut out certain areas in order for the various materials to show in different places.
I opened another layer with a heart sculpt I'd done. Reduced it's size and duplicated it a few times. Dull, but the only way.

Is it the love bug virus that went around in the early 90's?

    Default 90's virus

That one was more commonly known as the clap.
Though technically it not a virus but is a bacteria.

    Default Philistines!

You are presented with a bejeweled work of art, hand-crafted by machines, and the response? Smut!

    Default Idea Sketch

I've not long since started work on my first figure study. I changed the material a couple of times and ended going off on a bit of a tangent as usual.
As you can see, the figure is nothing like finished, and the whole thing is sketchily done but I just wanted to get the idea down.

The one on the left would be called 'What Will Remain (When We Are Gone).
The one on the right is something to do with art and the artist.

    Default Make it a Triptych

    I like the idea

Introduce another figure and somehow relate the three and you will be citing the great European tradition of the triptych. These works spanned the ages from the Byzantine to the Renaissance and were extremely powerful expressions of social and religious beliefs. Situated in our post-modern era we can expand the conceptual standing and use the genre with great effect.

Just thought I would trot that out there for you ... no pressure

BTW I think Derrik better recharge his side arms because rummour has it that the Tularian dinkmas true bloods and clones will be swarming to quadrant xray where they will spawn. If he does not get there early it is going to get disgustingly messy with several types of cloacal exuda and pheromonal excretions. This of course will be followed by a stamped of stink beasts who will enthusiastically deploy there own genetic contributions ... really really yucky!

Dreamz makes a steeple with his fingers, looks pained for a moment as he gazes into the distance, as if somehow drawing on eternity, then makes this pronouncement:

This piece is already a triptych, the third figure being the viewer himself as he interacts with the space in an attempt to find his place within it. I reference Christian iconography both to revue it's stance on the sacrificial male persona and to revile its reactionary values in the context of contemporary gender identity. Reference is also made to the narcissism of Anthony Gormley, a man who seeks to populate the world with casts of his own body, thus colonizing it with his own ego. American Expressionism is represented by the painter being overwhelmed by his paint. I am also dialoguing artist Marc Quinn's 'Blood Head' and am replying 'Ice Body'. Clearly, an eloquent allusion to the two brain hemispheres is also made, as is an evocation of the Buddhist concept of perpetual change and the Buddha's three bodies of enlightenment -The Trikaya of classical Mahayana theory....and.....and some s**t about The Spanish Civil War.

As for Tularian Dinkma developments, The Company is aware of the situation and will respond systematically and brutally.

    Default @FiL

Thanks as always FiL for your kind comments. I read your Dear Dr. Petter thread earlier. While, frankly, I don't know what the hell you are talking about you clearly do. I'm full of admiration that such knowledgeable people are using Sculptris. Please let us know if you get a favourable response. If you don't then keep it quiet.
