ZAppLink is a free plug-in that extends and enhances ZBrush’s texturing and illustration capabilities by automating the connection with programs such as Photoshop, Painter, or Illustrator.

ZAppLink works with click-button ease and continues Pixologic’s commitment to providing innovative tools to support next generation artists forging the work of tomorrow.

This plugin is compatible with ZBrush 4.

Please note that ZAppLink for ZBrush 4 is currently in open beta. Users who don't mind occasional issues or some disabled features may begin using the beta now. Any problems can be reported through a Support Ticket. Other users may wish to wait for the final release in the near future.

Installation

1. Quit ZBrush
2. Download the latest version of ZAppLink from the Download Center.
3. Extract the zip file in a temporary folder.
4. Copy the plugin's .ZSC file to your ZPlugs folder. With a default Mac installation this will be in /Applications/ZBrush 4 OSX/ZStartup/ZPlugs. With a default PC installation this will be C:\Program Files\Pixologic\ZBrush4\ZStartup\ZPlugs.
5. Also copy the Data Folder and its contents to the ZPlugs folder.
6. Launch ZBrush.
7. Open the Document palette where you will find the Multi Map Exporter menu, containing the plugin buttons and sliders.

Q: I don't see ZAppLink in the Document palette.
A: Check that you installed the plugin correctly.

But doesnt work on macosx with Photshop. If press any key or "enter" or "esc", close dialog box in Zbrush.

I just loaded 4R4 - Zapplink 4.0 does not work, needs an update

hi,when i import the texture from photoshop to Zbrush via ZAppLink,it shows a dialogue box that says New Layer,Delete Layer,Layer with blend alpha,i click any one option then it shows "pick" dialogue box,when i click the pick button the texture is not on the object.(face).
When i do simple brush stocks with in the face(not outside of the face) in photoshop it gives best results in Zbrush.
what is the problem?can any 1 guys help me.
am texturing a face just shown in youtube videos.

Any news on an update? Having trouble using ZAppLink with 4R5 and CS4 on Windows 7. Thanks!
