Default If sculptris lags at low poly count's

you have to set mt_maxthreads to 1 in config.txt

It decreases CPU load on my I7 ten times! Was nearly 100% before on low poly counts even...

    Now it runs smoothly...

    Hope this helps!

    Smile

Running a 'Boxx' Dual quad core 2.66Ghz, with a Nvidia Quadro FX 3500. Installed it and it was lagging like I've never seen. Changed the 0 to 1 and a hey pesto.

    perfect solution.

    Thanks

    Well. I'll be.

After a good 6 months of clean re-installs of XP, 7 and 7x64 I find this thread?!

I thought maybe my i7 940 (@stock) wasn't enough, or something was wrong
with my XFX HD4870 I got specifically to support shaders in VUE 9 XStream.

    Compared to the 3.8GHz P4 670 (@stock) single-core I run
with a Sapphire HD3850 1GB (that rig is a total Frankenbox)
my i7 has been getting nothing but pwned by sculptris.

I was almost certain Windows XP was to blame.
That could have cost me $$$ in node-locked installs.

    All better, now...

    Back to uploading Live Mesh.

    Thanks
