    Default Playing with Sculptris

    Hi everybody,
I just wanted to say how great this freeware is, the interface is so easy to understand and I feel I could make things really faster using Sculptris than classic poly modeling.

I've seen so many great work here with it so I though I would share my wip to gather feedback and try getting better skills.

Here is a quicky I did in about 40mn, I was testing the brushes and thanks to 3dioot and his pdf "cheat sheet", learning shortcuts. I started from a plane and ended with this.

And I thought why not exporting it and play with shaders etc..

On a side note blood need more work

    Thanks

edit: wow.. it's been 5 years I'm a registered user and this is my first post

A friend gave me great input to improve the facial expression, I think I will call it finished because I really want to make a new model in Sculptris haha

I would like to try painting my next model inside Sculptris.

    Thank you.

That update on the blood looks real legit, where did you render that?

Hi! Thanks for your comments, I used vray for the render (with a dirt passe, and 2 separate renders for the face and the blood to have more control on the blending). I textured the face in photoshop with photo references.

I want to try to paint inside sculptris for my next model attempt to see how it is.

    Thanks again

So here is my second attempt, blocking the model for now just to get the general shape, needs more work and more attention to references

I used the material of Thuglee for the snapshot

Tartan: Thanks! I hope you will like it when it's done

Dreamz: This shader makes it looks like a lollipop, I could stick in a stick in it but I'm affraid it would look so wrong..

Minds Eye_LPG_1973: aHahAHa Well I'm glad you found your princess, mine still whine like a frog from time to time

Knacki: Frogs are more famous than I though then
You did a great work on your frog! I was curious about the legs though and checked more references, I think mine should have longer legs just before the feet, it's like I'm missing a part on it. I'm somehow confused right now.

I wanted to make some kind of Red-eyed Tree Frog, I think I should tweak the rear legs part a little bit.

Thank you all for your comments and feedback

Oh, yeah - there's a whole other section to the leg. I wouldn't have noticed. The grab tool could fix that quite quickly.

Finally mine should end up as a red eye tree frog too
The pics of the skeleton are great. I made a major mistake with the shoulder.
    I found some videos:
    Some pics and pics.

Search for Agalychnis callidryas and you'll find tons of reference pics.
I am really looking forward to see your final result.
Your pics above are promising a lot
