Default BIG BAD - Freelance work done for Sea Lion Books

    BIG_BAD_ZBC.jpg

    BIG_BAD_1600px_optimized.jpg

    Hey guys and gals!

Just got permission to show some of my new stuff

This is a character I made for the book publishing company Sea Lion Books.

I was given the Concept shown below and asked to create a 3D Design to be used for marketing purposes promoting the upcoming comic series "Monstrom"

I was asked to develop the design further and make him look more "bad ass".

    Hope you like him!

ummm...holy s#it!!! That is one bad-ass illustration man! I absolutely love it! It has a bit of a Boris Valejo vibe to it, which is always a good thing. Now you have to show us the ZBrush model. Great work!

I expect it to be in the Top Row before I finish typing the period on the end of this sentence.

I definitely dig the bone armor as well! I would kill to see some zbrush screen as well or plain renders.
The clouds are distracting (but they still make an excellent addition for the image). Top row!

!!! Congratulations...very good sculptural lighting and texture, it's great that you are bringing traditional painting/colourist techniques into 3D.

    Fantastic Job!!
