Different angles would be nice, wireframes and flatshaded renders as well.

I would think you need a lot more then 1 render to get a job....it's a pretty vague render too.
^ agreed, this model looks good but u should post some more pics of it and more WIPs/finished models
ok cool thanks glad you all think its good
You should do a couple of models, and probably show off different angles and wireframes etc. Since there are alot of modelers out there, and always someone better, you need more than one render and a wish for a job.
It's not easy getting a job, even a "washing toilets" job isnt that easy to get, so you need something that can compete with the others I guess. And I guess a year at VFS or a similare school wouldn't hurt either.

we cud find a game programmer and make the nareast game ever
Having a BA in art doesnt mean anything. THe model seems alright, some close up shots maybe?
I think you need to make it more interesting. The design and the render too.
Now the character is quite boring.
You could add some accessories...belt bags or knifes... light armor parts, etc... And some color variation.
About presenting the character: a nice pose and better lighting can help to make it even more interesting.
thanks to the people with good feedback and the others do you think i was trying to get a job of this one render silly
