Great helmet design. I love all those original Stargate movie designs, yours looks like it would fit right in.

    Good morning!

    seriks:
It's because of the perspective and lighting. Check it on the Zbrush model. Measure your hand to your face...your middle fingertip will point at your 'third eye'. I think her hand does the same if we measure it to her face...no?

: Thanks! A lot of details are still on their way to make that helmet really sing.

Really nice helmet! How did you do the really intricate details on the helmet, Masking? Or shadowbox+Matchmaker? Would like to hear more about your workflow

beautiful work tho personally i think some sharper lines would help the design, sharper edhes on eahrs and some transitions , it would match this hjeadpiece to hthe original movies helms of anubis and horus they had the smooth transitions that were perfectly contrasted with some good ol shaprpness

but evne like this it is a gorgeous piece

    Thanks guys!

T0rch: Most of the details are sculpted by hand using standard brush with lazymouse. There is some masking and inflate deformation. And my latest favourite is the following method you can do in Z4:
I rotate the model into best view for the next detailing...
Key the camera and save the view for later use too...
I take a screenshot, double it's size in Photoshop and using the line tool and other photoshop tools I draw a stencil wich can be imported into Z4.
Camera view loaded, and using the stencil in projection master I project the line detail onto the surface.

aquilar: Thanks! Yep, I was thinking the same thing...I'll see if I can upgrade the cat head...

    Default Head update

Updating the lowres body. Eyelashes and teeth are coming.
Texture: Only the eyebrow was taken from a photo, the rest is painted.
Normal map was calculated in Max using the highres Zbrush sculpt.
Rendered with vray. Simple standar shader, no ssss.

I like the teeth they look very nice. I think you should give more volume to the upper part of the skull. have a look at some bald references.
Also the shoulders seem very undefined. Looks almost like she is wearing a coat.

    overall very nice.
