    Default Creature sketch

I sculpted this creature for fun. At first I had no idea what it's gonna be.This is how it ended up.
Maybe I'll take it to a more finished level.

Let me know what you think.

I like the first image of him a lot. it has a very painterly old fine art feeling.
My very subjective suggestion would be to keep that style and feel and give him some more labour of love in particular making the neck a little less straight and slightly more curved. it's not so appear ant in the first image, but from the side the neck is a bit of a very straight block.
I would also try a variation without that glow and lightning coming from his eyes. normal human or maybe animal (goat?) eyes might give him even more presence.
either way, as I said, I do really like the first one already as it is.

Thanks for the suggestions Julian! Good point on the neck and eyes.I'll definitely go that way if I continue him.

Jorge Lescale - Thank you! It took about 5 or 6hours I think.

    Hey everyone!
I know this is not a sketch but I'd like some feedback on this one so I post it here
This is finished except on the second screenshot there is a red effect.
Half of the people I asked says it needs it and half says not.
So my question is do you think it needs it or it's better without it.

    With effect:

wow, this is amazing, love it so much.
And about that red effect, its better off, its way to weak and just distracts form the mindblowing piece, ether ramp it up a lot, or just drop it ;]

    Wicked!
Regarding the red, hmm.. well.. I can`t tell you why but I like the pic without the red smoke in the air better. Since the scar in his face has also some red glowing in it, it is well balanced and doesn`t need the extra red smoke, IMHO.
    Anyways, I love it!
Your modeling, texturing and rendering work is really awesome.
You have some strong skills in all areas.

I agree with slocik, either RAMP IT UP or drop it. I will be honest, if you do leave it, only put it coming out of the scar AND perhaps SOME out of his mouth. Also, make it look more 'smokey/fluid', like MIST (the ones you have look like they were smeared on the image with a square brush). But, again, if you do put it in (and yes, I do like the idea of the 'red smoke"), make it stronger in colour (and maybe SOME sparks in the 'red smoke', like a camp fire i.e. evil magic coming out??).

    My two cents-

And yes, I think this image ROCKS!! So strong of an impact... just awsome.

I love the style, textures and model. Personally, its CG, I say the more smokey, fiery, glowing bits the better!

This is Top Row quality excellent. Remove the red smear, it doesn't work.
