Figured I'd just call the sculpting done for now. There's a lot more detail that could be added in, but I thought I'd try and start painting anyway. I didn't get to far with that though before I got busy needing to get other things done...

@Sean Thanks. Not sure when I'll get back to him.
@Adamx Here's my first try at that guy. Couldn't remember his name, but google has always been my best friend. Jason Statham would be his name. I've still got a lot of tweaking to do to make it look more like him. Though I'm not too good with likenesses just yet, this should be some good practice.

Had a bit of time tonight to try and paint him a little bit. Still more to go.
Edit: Just noticed a few more areas that I'll have to tweak a bit more. Oh well, guess it means a little more practice texturing him again...![]()

Very small difference that probably wouldn't even be noticeable. I didn't get too far on the paint for this one yet. Just the bump and first coat on the skin.

Is that Sculptris or Zbrush Spork ?
The proof of which program it's done in is mainly identifiable when you look on the sides of the sculpt where the shoulders would just about start. With ZBrush, you probably wouldn't get those harder polygon edges so easily seen when the rest is fairly smooth at that size. Guess I should have added a few more tris to that area. I think this one is still under 40k. Could have been lower, but I didn't reduce anything yet, or reduce the eye spheres like I normally would.
I know you've been around a lot of 3d programs, so that looks pretty good on Sculptris when even you can't tell the difference at a quick glance...![]()
Is the skin detail in the mesh?, or Bump-paint ? That's Amazing for Sculptris, of course you've doing amazing things with this for a while now.
At the moment, it's all in the bump. The mesh is pretty much the same as the one a few above with just the material. The matierial I used with the paint was just a similar greyscaled material with a very small bit of the red in there (kind of a cross between some of the main ones already available in Sculptris to begin with). It's all just put in with 2 alphas and the main bump brush. Just made it a bit more noticeable in this version by inverting the smooth bump after doing basically the same thing as the first textured version.
If anyone needs the material, or the alphas, just let me know. I think I got both of the alphas from that ZBrush alpha library.

They had on one of the Harry Potter movies last night. For some reason, I still had an image of Dobby in my mind when I opened up Sculptris. So, I thought I'd start my own house elf. Trying to make it different from the ones in the movies, but as though it could still be one of the same species.

Worked a bit on that last one a while back, but I never finished it. Now that I opened up Sculptris, I just wanted to start with something new again.

#530 Yes, I can see him emerging. Not bad. #527 is out of this world. Very cool and scary!

Needed a break and Futurama was on TV, so this is what came out. Kind of quick, so he could have been a lot better. Everything was still made in Sculptris, but I figured I would use Cycles again for rendering.

Good to talk about it, but I thought I'd start my own quick dragon head to see how much of a pain it would be to add in the scales to the bump map. Going to break it apart and texture it piece by piece so I can bring it into Cycles later for rendering. Here's where it's at so far.

I've got a number of ideas for a dragon. Didn't have much time tonight, but I'm going to lay out a few quick sketches and see which one seems the best to finish.
