Sculptris is kind of my relaxation time when I need a break. I don't know if I'm getting any better, but I am finally getting a bit quicker..

    And here's another breaktime sculpt.

New one for tonight. Kind of loosely based on the woman I just saw up there in the zbrush gallery.

Another quick one. I still need to transfer over my materials from the old library.

Wow! You are prolific! I love the character you manage to put in your faces. Great work.

Thanks Dreamz. Hopefully Sculptris plays nice with the new laptop.

Something new that I'm working on again. Most of it is roughed in. Going to turn it into my version of one of the Ninja Turtles eventually. Had to sculpt in a lot of the body for the type of shell I wanted to add in. May need to change the head a bit since it seems a bit too much like just a regular turtle head on a body.

Got that laptop in finally. Here's a first sketch with it. Nice to be able to use AA again.

Thanks Serek. I don't know if I'll be going back to most of them since they were just fun doodles. What I think I should do is try to come up with some ideas that could be fun to texture now that I can paint again. Which is one thing that I had hoped that they would have improved from the previous versions, the color picker.

What's wrong with it? The only thing I'd wish about the picker is to be able to pick colors right from the background too, so we could work with our own custom "palette". Besides that, it's ok for me.

The only thing I see wrong with it, and it is minor, is the ability to select the same color again. Not just from the model or background. That way if I have a specific color that I want to spray on with a lowered opacity/strength, I can blend it in to other areas later. A custom pallette would sove that a bit, but what if a wanted a specific hex code/RGB/CMYK color? Having that ability added would help as well. Sculptris just being a fun hobby, I really can't complain all that much, but it would be a nice addition to a great program.

If you want an Exact Color Use "projection paint"
paint the exact color you want.. Sculptris has a color picker.

Projection paint a pallet of colors on
the back of your models head the colors you want.

When your done, paint over it.

But i agree it would be cool if it had a color palette built in
with hex code info and stuff..

That was one option that had I thought of, as well as creating another sphere, off to the side or above, that I would paint on the full strength of the color I needed. Unfortunately, the first option would require that I know exactly which angle the model would look best in the final render (if I ever finished one and knew the colors I was looking for before I started), and the second option would require that I made a new sphere everytime I wanted to paint something (besides moving it far enough away to make sure that it wasn't in the way for final render, but close enough to be useful). Both options are a bit substandard to having the ability to accurately picking, and reacquiring a color.
