Uh, that is a really pretty material! WELL DONE!
Your models always look exciting, so that goes without saying. I really like the girl's bust already and would very much enjoy to see her worked out more. Maybe a bit more defined. She already has a wonderful profile.

Thank you for the comments guys.

dargelos - There's a documentation.txt file in the Sculptris folder that lists all the ways to control the navigation. I'm not sure if there is a way to get Sculptris to navigate like Zbrush. Personally i really prefer Sculptris's nav style (alt+LM=Rotate, alt+shift+LM=Pan, alt+ctrl+LM=Zoom) but i agree it would be nice to have a single way to control both apps.

thanks Lotet. It's not really a problem, if i know i'm going to take a mesh further, i won't spend much time sculpting surfaces that may undergo serious reconstruction in Zbrush (which i use to paint/detail), and the details i do put in are easily extracted if you retopo correctly. To be honest, i didn't know about the 'H'-click to hide meshes before just a bit ago, so working with multiple meshes was difficult. It would speed things up at the retopo/projection stage if i separated out pieces in Sculptris, and i've done that on a couple of my newer sculpts. If i was working from a concept that's how i would probably do it. But Sculptris makes it easy to just rough in my ideas as soon as they come to my head, and that's what i've been doing here.

Actually, sculpting to a fully clothed character saves a lot of needless anatomy sculpting that'll get hidden anyways. I've seen some models here on ZBC where the skin is painted to perfection only to be completely covered by armor or a shirt. So doing quick 'n dirty sculpts like this might save a lot of time in the long run.

[edit] here's a few more i'll post some finished stuff soon.
It's a small image, so you can't see how low resolution they are. but they where made very fast. it seems every time i touch Scupltris i can make things a tad faster and more accurate than the prior model.

Practice make perfect Fil. Nice sculpting I like the dressed up Eagle the most This program has its problems but I think its easier to cut loose in it sketching than Z and come to think of it box modeling.

thanks for the comments guys, your works keep giving me ideas as well
i was thinking, instead of medals, he would have a one of those single-lensed eye pieces with a chain connecting to a shirt pocket. I was going for him being dressed in fancy 1800's style tux, but i guess i could make him a military bird. Thanks for the suggestions.

This is victory city, this thread. I'm quite literally about to fall asleep, otherwise I'd say more stuff. I'll save it for when I'm up and at 'em tomorrow. For now... I'm really amazed.

    Kudos FiL.

Default Really Lousy Sculpts. Quit - Now!

Don't get me wrong, I admire someone who's willing to try. God knows, you put enough effort into your models, but....hmmmm, how can I word this constructively.....they suck monkey gonads - for a living!

Just for the record, this has nothing to do with envy. It isn't at all that I think you are too good at sculpting and you understand Sculptris better than I do. It's not like I'm trying to kill off the competition or something- but I will if I have to. Yeah, that's a warning, buddy.
