Default Dravalien - the fresh water alien (W.I.P)

    Hi all...

This is my first thread. My first model also!

I don't no about modeling. But Zsphere gave me the confidence on modeling.

"Dravalien" is a fresh water alien. The name I gave it to like this,

    Drava = Liquid (in Sanskrit)
Alien = we know about it.

It is a very simple character. Suggestions welcome.

Added some extra details and parts.

I think these are the final modeling changes. Next, I have to go for texturing.

Please be kind to your fellow members. If you currently have a thumbnail in the Main Forum, do not make a new post with a new image. Instead, edit your previous post and add the new image there or wait until your previous image has dropped off the thumbnails in the main forum.

Alternatively, you can edit your previous post to use ATN and /ATN tags instead of ATT and /ATT. This will disable that image's thumbnail. You can then post a new image so that you still only have one in the bottom row.

    Thanks.

Okay I'll step up to the plate on this one.

    First welcome to the forums.

Second, your tree trunk looks okay, I would show it off from different angles. Maybe think about combining the two projects into one.

Okay Now third: your alien thing, though simple, needs adjustment.
It's a fresh water alien? Did you do research on aquatic fresh water life. They tend to share certain quailities: dark neutral color tones i.e: earth and stone tones. They're either completely smooth or extremely bumpy. They have limited patterns.
Your alien is missing all of that. Including anything signifying him aquatic.
Either change the name or the concept.
Also though I really encourage fun with this software, I do think you should do studies of these things.
And don't rush the community you'll get comments in time

    happy zbrushing.

    ThankU Framedworld.

No, the tree trunk is for this project only. I will use it later for scene setup. This is W.I.P.

You told, "It's a fresh water alien? Did you do research on aquatic fresh water life. They tend to share certain quailities: dark neutral color tones i.e: earth and stone tones. They're either completely smooth or extremely bumpy. They have limited patterns."

But my thinking is little bit different. Observe the below montage.

    Frog_Ref.jpg

Dravalien just like an amphibian. He time to time comes from fresh water ponds.

I have a clean thought about Dravalien concept. But I haven't concept art.
I am working step by step in my congested time.

So I not agree with u for your comment, "Either change the name or the concept"

Any how I want some suggestions on building Dravalien character.

Thanx once again for your response.

You made it ou to seem that it was a fish not a frog.

And in that case your still off your animal...cause it doesn't look frog like at all. It would help if you illustrate what youre going for, instead of blindly asking for assistance

Yes, Dravalien is not a frog. I show the ref, which I following for the look n feel. Not for body structure.
