I can just concur with my man Ezra, really nice work on your minotaur, but the shoulder plate does not fit to him. Would recommend on doing a coat or something lightweight. He looks very organic and I think the heavy shoulder plate does not match with his dynamic pose, but thats just my oppinion!
Other than that a really great sculpt, love his pose and definently one of the best I've seen on a minotaur sculpt!
    Keep at it!

Here are some more final renders for the Minotaur. Revised base. Should be printing this soon.

    And the next project...

The Minotaur came out just exceptional Ehren. Great job. The new one is looking great too.
Grats for getting up to speed 3D as quickly as you have.
    Keep it up.

Thanks Ezra. It's definitely getting more fun. Polypainting is ridiculously fun. I decided to revisit one of my earlier projects and do a quick paint up. Amazing what a difference some color can make.

Man, does this latest guy ever feel like something from an N.C. Wyeth painting. Are you a fan, Ehren?

Love your stuff, and watching your amazing progress. As a noob, I find your thread really inspirational and encouraging.

    Thanks!

You nailed it. Captain Bill Bones by NC Wyeth. I grew up near his studio and museum. My parents read Treasure Island and Kidnapped to me as a child. His work is part of my soul for sure. And I'm glad you recognized the inspiration! Thanks.
As far as being a noob- Yeah it's been a real struggle for me since day one. Obviously I've made strides since that mess of a cow I started with, but everytime Pixologic releases an update I feel like I fall further behind. This program can still be so overwhelming. Even with my latest sculpt, I've probably only tapped into about 10% of the software. Not to mention I've spent years working as a traditional sculptor so not being able to physically 'touch' the sculpture was a huge hurdle for me. One step at a time right? Thanks
