Butterfly im working on, for the animation with the guy above. Any comments/critiques welcome, I am trying to get the wing to look realistic.

butterfly wings are made up of scales, you wouldn't see hair like that.

I'm really looking forward to this whole thing develop ad complete. the beginning was already quite moody even with just the fragments present, but I would not have expected a butterfly playing a part in this. now I'm really curious

thanks Julian_K, this is actually for my thesis so I dont know how long I can spend on it, but hopefully its comes together, it is already long after due :/ hopefully i have the butterfly rigged by end of next week

Thanks GX@W, i might redo the wings, as far as realistic do you mean the setting or body itself? I just found a background image online to show the wings' transparency... Im not going to touch the body much, except for making the fur a little more irregular

Kind of silly model, but this is for the upcoming Xmas 2010 co-creator contest for Shapeways http://www.shapeways.com/model/15958...ml?gid=ug30774 The santa and elf were zshpered, tex, uv and decimated in zbrush. Got the model down to about 36 cubic cm at 3.4 inches tall. You can customize it by changing the images and text on the book cover and text on the base. Hope you like it!
