The Fates lead those who will follow willingly. Those who don't, they drag...
This is a really cool scene! The poses are dynamic, the models are great! The depth of field gives it a miniature feel. There would be sharper focus going farther back on that wide of a lens.
Do I even need one of these?
Holy Gosh... wow...
This thread and your work are TREASURES!
Your latest post is simply jaw dropping!
This thread is a fine example of professional craftsmanship, raw talent, and dedication!
Tons of props!
Martin! Thank you chabon!!!
Lynne! Yeah I have been told that a few times, is that good or bad?
Zom! Thanks for the imput, will revisted!
Tak! Thanks a lot for your kind words, it's been a hell of a ride!! Consider I am a freaking dentist that quitted it all to become a collectible sculptor a few years ago, and then turned to digital!!!!
And while waiting for approvals to show my latest commercial stuff, how about some more test renders from Of Darkness & Damnation? This time is an old one redone in the mood of the latest renders... you can look for the first version a few pages back
Comments/critics are always welcome!
These renders are amazing. Can I ask do you have a tutorial on the way you render these awesome sketches?
thanks
And here you have another rider!!!
Also a breakdown of how I get to it. I mostly use these same setings to do what I have shown so far, hope this helps...
For the render passes I play a bit with light, shadows, ao, fog and depth cue settings...
and here is how the final psd look ...
Thanks for watching
A
Wow where did you come from??? lol awesome work.
Love all of your models and thanks so much for the breakdown on the rider Gorilla with awesome wings. I want that rider <3
Got a new fan for sure and will be following your work.
Maybe as far as not sure which to use the monochrome or the red sun? try using a bit of both or that point right before the sun rises or right after it sets would be more better... like at Twilight but I don't care either way myself both rock as far as I am concerned the way you did those images is just inspiring. Take care and of course Happy ZBrushing!!!!
I want to see these all on Top Row again just my opinion
S! Thanks for the tip, will have it in consideration for the time when I do the final render!
Now here is a flashback, if you guys take a look a few pages back, you will remember Gelstrom the winged wolf I previously posted,
and how I recreated him digitally from an old traditional sculpt I did like 20 years ago. Well the Rider-gorilla idea comes from the same time,
here is the epoxy sculpt I made back then before I entered the marvelous world of the collectibles industry... damned! Times flies, and the good thing is that time broght zbrush!!!! Love it!
A flying gorilla seems absolutely terrifying! You really get one's imagination "flying..."

Another rider, in a more traditional ride, this time is Drabbhan and Ahelstrom, the test render and the model, and also the model from the previous post Dratthan and Ohelstrom...
BTW, the winged horse rider was again inspired by an old redemption I made in traditional of the Black Knight that was never produced!
Some test pages from the book "Of Darkness and Damnation"... still playing around with the final look
truly amazing work. very inspiring
THANKS for the breakdown ! Ahhhhmazing work btw
