    UV Maps.

Use UV map plug in then add the pattern to a PSD from the color from texture option in 'texture maps'

Apply the new map as a displacement. The idea is to hide your seems when making th uv coordinates to make the pattern appear seemless.

If you havent learnt this part of 3D then you are really missing out. Hope this helps

chobed: Sorry for the late reply. Its just about playing with the uv map until you can hide them seams some where.

precarious: Thanks, The hand are probs my favourite bit.

jasoni: Thanks man, this is the pattern I used(photoshop pattern). Play around with the blending modes in PS to get one that works the way you want. I think it came from Deviant Art.

Make sure you hide the seams well or make as few seams as possible. Try to have no stretching in the uv map.

    What are you working on?

    Attached Honey comb Photoshop pattern?

driaan.claassen: thanks for your input. I like to hear peoples honest opinions. This was my second model I made in 3D so trial and error.
