Love the Javier, Carrie, Hugo portraits. My favorite was Hugo Weaving's I can't stop smiling when I look at that! Plus it would make for a cool ZBrush project. And probably get you TopRow.

alexleia: Hey Alex! You can't figure out how happy I feel receiveng such a comment from you. You have been one of my main inspiration along years, and knowing that you like my works give a me a lot of energy to keep studying and practicing. Thank you, my friend!

lemonnado: Thank you, lemmo. I always feel proud when i receive a good feedback from guys like you, that are here at ZBC for a long time, and already have seen a lot of good things.

d_thumb: Thanks man. In fact, I think in doing a 3d version for this in a future. I just want to refine my sculpt abilities a bit more.

TheMonkeyKing, prahlad333, minastris: Thank you very much fellows. Your words means a lot to me.

By the way, I forgot to post my reference of the old guy's caricature. His name was Costinha, he was a very famous humourist here in Brazil. He died some years ago.

Well, I've watched the trailer of new Conan's movie, and I felt not happy. That guy is NOT Conan! So, I decide to make my own rendition of him, to make him more justice.

The idea, of course, is to make a caricature of the REAL Conan on the movies, Mr. Schwarzenegger. The funnier, the better. Problably I'll not make an animatable model, just studying modeling, texturing, lighting and rendering in Zbrush. I want to push my strenghts and really learn with this one, so if you guys could give tips or comments, I'd be grateful.

By the way, thumbs up for the flexibility of Zbrush... I started the guy from a simple plane, and now I have a complete body, made of separated pieces! Zbrush = Freedom!

    Thank you Knacki!

Unfortunatelly, I'm having little free time to work on this project
But here's an up. Conan now is made of one single piece, what makes him easier to sculpt. I'm feeling that by now he's looking like a plastic toy. How can I make him more believable looking? I mean how can I make him looking more like a live creature?

Um, what's wrong with what you have done? Jramauri, this is, how would the kids today say it... TOTALLY AWSOME!!
Dude, I love this style for Conan. So PIXAR/DISNEY like. Too cool!!
    Five thumbs up-
Now, if your talking for texturing, ya, I can see what your going for. But, I am no world expert in that dept. But I am sure there are plenty of folks up here with that type of experience that can help ya with that.

Thanks dragon! I'm glad to see you really my works

Here's a test I did, to learn a bit more about rendering. Sketch was done in Paintstop, modeling and rendering in Zbrush. No BPR, just best renderer, in Zbrush 3.1.

Oh, amauri, I should have known. I just barely realized that you were working on the creature that had Bruce, Chuck and Steven on it's neck. Man, I must like your stuff alot, again, without realize it, I liked your work AGAIN this time. I just saved your blog to my favorite artists folder. So ya man, I am REALLY digging your 'cartoon' style (you do well with the realistic stuff as well, but I am more into the cartoon stuff you or any other artist does). I am most certainly keeping an eye on ya-
    Best my friend.
