    Default Cool... but...

Animation in zbrush is a novel idea, but honestly it's not what I look to zbrush for as an artist... I can see it maybe having some uses in creating blendshapes - but I just hope that's not a new focus of this program because I think it's real strength remains as a sculpting/modeling/texturing program. Pixologic needs to continue refining those tools and fixing the little bugs... I hope that this new animation thing doesn't distract from that.

I would have rather seen some new poly tools, like some real modeling tools introduced, extrude, poly cut, etc that could really improve the modeling experience in zbrush. And maybe some better interface clean up...

But overall - I've been pretty happy with zbrush updates, and look forward to seeing what 4 brings to the table. Definitely looking forward to the other features such as full GoZ integration and Lightbox, etc...

can you use it with rigs from real animation packages? because if not, what is really the use of it? I mean if you could use it to create corrective blendshapes or something like that, it would be really, really helpfull but the way it is right now, seems a bit like out of focus for what i think zbrush is used for mostly. But maybe i just don't see the big picture, then forgive me

    Wonderful!
    Absolutely wonderful!

Love the material morphs, using timing to audio, and the addition of mass dynamics is really exciting! Awesome preview, can't wait for more!

Also, Happy 10th! Man that's awesome! Remember when we all here would faint and drool about Alpha Centauri. Now look at where you all have gone. Its so wonderful and, well, I'm choked up...so proud to have been here for over eight of those ten years. Can't wait to see the next 10!

I'm hoping these are some of the goodies we will see as well upon the release of v4. Sorry, just totally not happy with the way dev resources are being focused at this point. Seems to be aimed more at the hobbyist that frequents zbc rather than the professionals who are out here in the field actually dealing with the aforementioned issues on a daily basis.

Don't get me wrong, you guys have totally changed the entire CG world. Respect! REALLY appreciative of the free updates every single year!! Just somewhat bummed as the animation stuff seems more like a gee-whiz feature that no studio I know of is going to use as a replacement for their invested pipelines.

Looks just awesome!! Animation is the last thing I would have guessed coming down the pike!

Can't wait to find out how that was done!

    Congrats, Pixo!

    Default Oh Yeah!!!!!

That is simply awesome! From what I saw, that is exactly what I was hoping you could do with this feature. I had discover a claymation, blendshape ability in ZBrush 3.2 for MAC, but this obviously takes things much further!

Check out me little samples here: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=85712

The only real way I can be excited about this is if ZBrush 4 will be available for MAC at the same as PC.

    Thanks to ALL at Pixologic!
