Default manzarek123 - Things to Make.

Hi! Guys, my name is Adan Vazquez and well finally!!, i decided to create my thread kind of sketchbook, to post here all the things i make and receive comments and critics to get better! from the best CG community for real this is the best ! in this amazing! amazing software, ZBrush, i must say that this program literally change my life!, it's so powerful gosh! , im using it from one year now, learning on my own pace, learning Maya first, and then i discover this forum, and i was like, Extremely inspired by all the fantastic works that i see here, and for that i wanna say THANK YOU SO MUCH to each and every one of you guys to keep me motivated and keep me zbrushing!

Well... i write a lot in despite that my english is so bad, so let me show some "sketches" i've done for the last 4 months or so in a chronological order, focused totally in learning features of the face, the head is a very complex thing to sculpt, but really fun once you have time practicing...

    Happy_guy_MAIN_JPG.jpg

This first two images was renderized in ZBrush and then in Photoshop for composite.

    -----------------------------------
Then i try to use another app, like Maya, to renderize in mental ray and i use the mental ray daylight system from the great artist nerveink,
thanks a lot !, then i experiment with the settings to get some kind of different looks to the sculpts and this is the results:

    Bill_2_final_50%.jpg

Then for this one, i use reference from one sculpture, photographed by Ryan Kingslien.... a true ZBrush Master!.

    Guy_Clay_OFICIAL_levels_FINAL_3.jpg

All of these sculpts, were decimated!, Decimation Master is really fantastic, and well that's all for now, im gonna do my best to keep this thread updated a lot!, Thanks you so much for watching, and of course, comments and critics are absolutely welcome! Happy Easter!

Hey these are great man, I remember that first sculpt you did for the Cgchannel contest. But it definitely looks like you have improved since then!

My only crit is that their eyes are pretty huge compared to the rest of the head proportions, I dunno if you did that intentionally or not, but thats just something to keep in mind.... keep practicing!

I love these... so clean. Amazing work. Eyes are a bit large - but they don't really look out of place. I am bookmarking your thread here

This is illustrations was so fun to make, Felix the Cat is one of my favorite cartoon characters and one day i was watching one of his cartoons (from 1919!!! geez!), and ill try to make it in ZBrush!, started with ZSpheres and then, lots of Clay Brush!, theen was renderized in several ZBrush render passes, for composite in Photoshop, i hope you like it.

Felix the cat! Boy, I haven't seen him in a loooong time. Where's his magic bag of tricks? Nice job, but why do his eyes, particularly the left one, look blurry?

Etcher: Thank you so much! really glad to read a comment from you! all of your studies in your sketchbook are amazing!!!.

womball: Thanks womball!, well i think im gonna call it 2.5, the face specially because i made the face exclusively for that shot, for just a simple illustration, then im gonna make another sculpt from Felix, but this time im gonna focus on every angle, to make it fully 3D and make turntables and all

Webhead: Thank you brother! Yeah! Felix is a true legend in cartoons!, his eyes looks a little blurry because there wasn't enough polygons on his face and when i polypainted i realized that!, and then the eyes started to show jagged edges! and i fix that in Photoshop with a little help from the blur tool, next time im gonna do retopology in characters like this i promise, they really need it.

Moni-Poroni: Thank you so much Moni!!, im really glad for your comment here thaaanks!, also i wish you all the best in the CGHub contest!!.

    ----------------------------------------

Guys!!! Finally i can post something, damn this couple weeks were a pain!, with final projects in school and a lot of homework and exams .... and little time for ZBrush, that's bad really bad!. but those painful days are over!, so back to ZBrush and practicing a lot!.

And, i made a new head, a simple random one, just to not loose the knowledge of were every part should be and all of that, after 2 weeks of doing homeworks of biology , so here's the sheet of the head.

    Statue_Sheet_yey.jpg

Then i modified the head to give it a look of "destroyed" kind of and old sculpt, i decimated the model and then i renderized in mental ray!... mmm i think im gonna name this guy "Pepe"

    Statue_destroyed_70_2_Levels.jpg

    ---

Then i worked a little bit on the weird dude kind of alien, evolutionized Human and i made a little render too .
    Alien_70_for_zbc.jpg

    -----

Also i made this couple of facial feature studies, to focus specially on each part of the face.

    Mouth:

    Ear:

And to finilized, LOL, this super simple image created in 20 minutes with ZSketch, Just to sing Fly me to the Moon ! :P.

Comments and Critics are absolutely welcome, have an excellent weekend now im gonna watch the new beta video. with the guy that sings exactly like James Brown !!.

    Cheers.

    Ear_doodle_9may_yey_Thumb.jpg
Hi everyone! i hope everybody is having an excellent week, well today i made this sculpts, specifically in each part of the face, to give it more attention in how the volumes interact between each other and all, for these studies i use reference from photos and draws mainly, maybe because they in some draws, exaggerated the forms and i think it's important in a learning stage just to see clearly each form really well! soooo:

Eyes, with the eyeball as part of the mesh, right now i have the habit of sculpt eyes like this, im gonna change that habit i promise.
    Eyes_Doodle_09_may_Yeyyy.jpg

Then an ear, wich i think is now my favorite part of the face to sculpt:
    Ear_doodle_9may_yey.jpg

A mouth, and a little bit of nose .
    Mouth_doodle_9may_yey.jpg

And Finally i decided to have some fun with this, i make a little composition with the three parts, to form a face and this is the result.
    Face_comp_yeyCool.jpg

So that's it for now, comments and critics are more than welcome, so thank you very very much for watching . have an excellent day.
