    Default First Try of Zbrush

    Hi everyone!
This is my first try ever on Zbrush. I sculpted that in more or less 8 hours and this is still a work in progress.
I'm a graphic designer but I wanted to try Zbrush for so long that I decided to start that for funyesterday. So please, be indulgent cause I'm not a 3D pro and this is really my first one... Crits and comment are welcome. Thanx.

I saw the image first and was loving it, sitting and staring at it for quite some time, going, how can I copy this guy's style. Another pro.

Then I read what you wrote above your image. That you're new and this is a first model. Really good, can't believe it's your first. Love the Giger-like contortions you've sculpted in there and the body's structure is A++.

    Thank you very much!
it's really good to read your lines... It gives me lot of motivation.

I'm still a beginner and a learner. So your advices and threads here are very usefull even if I'm lost quite quickly!

erikshawn> yep, really it's my first. I like to draw even if I can't do it as often as before but maybe it is helping now with zbrush. thanks for your words.

digital_3d> I wanted to explore a skinny man, quite a challenge for me because I still drawing big dude! And yes, Alien is maybe my favorite monster... so somehow, it might be in a corner of my head...

Jonesky, Tezzy and Rynomyte> thank you guys. And rynomyte, you were the first one to review and comment it. Thanks for beeing my first, and on top of that, positive comment.

ok apparently my first response was squeezed!

I FIRST said : thank you everyone, it's really motivating.

EricShawn> thanks for the comments. Yep it's really my first one. Stilla work in progress with lots to be done still but...a good start. I'm a graphic designer, so totally new to 3D. I used to draw a lot so maybe it might help with Zbrush.

Digital 3d> It was quite a challenge for me cause I'm always drawing big muscle dude... But I must admit that Alien is one of my favourite monster so it might be on a corner of my head...

    >Rynomyte : thanks for beeing the first one to post a comment and on top of that, a positive one...

    Thanks.

I love how you have made the ribs poke out, makes it look less human in a way or just a really skinny person. Really good work, much better than me

Some updates on this guy... my first ever try on Zbrush
I'm still learning Zbrush so.. I do mistakes too.
Like the one you can see on these pics... Some artefacts in the mesh apparently. The weird thing is that I did a Resym smart and at le low res level, the mesh is great...not at the high one. Don't know why...

Anyway, I decided to go on just for my practice and will make some other faces on this guy too.

N.B.: HEAD INSPIRED BY an old concept of Jerad S. Marantz.
I found interresting to mix his idea with the body I sculpted first...
    C&C welcome of course...

Keep up the good work guys!
