Just did a side by side test on a couple non organic meshes and a couple organic ones and they both worked great but Headus UV Layout gave me way more control on the non organic shapes which is good.
Exactly- UVLayout is the king of hard edged stuff. But, I have to admit for organic stuff the AO idea with UV master is a killer idea.

I am glad to have both a surgeons knife and a butter knife in my tool kit.
    As am I

    Default Problem Solved

Thank you folks a bunch! This is the final peice of the UV puzzle. When you guys made the original per poly UVs blown away by the lack of distortion, but at times you really need "Human readable" UVs. Now we've got those as well. UV Layout is the best, but there was just no way I was going to shell out $300 for the work done in ZB. I was actively searching for a solution and you've provided the perfect answer!!!

Sweet tool, intuitive... unfortunately I've had it crash on me several times. Is there an error file that I can give a programmer to help out? It usually crashes when I try to use any of the brush tools (move or smooth) on the flattened mesh.

    Default Intuitive!

Must have been late, or I'm just lazy... But, I didn't even read the instructions and I unwrapped a head, body and several other things with the "protect" and "suggest" painting, and it worked great each time! Thanks again, pixologic. Awesome stuff. It's going to save my students a massive amount of work these next few weeks.

I knew this was coming! You guys (pixologic) are amazing.

I don't know how in the world you continually roll out this ground breaking technology as freely as you do, while companies (that shall go unnamed ) continually release meager upgrades to their software at a high premium.

    You guys seriously freaking ROCK!

Oh man, that would be so amazing. Being able to pinpoint where the loops are by drawing on the polypaint ...
