    Default Bike racing

Hi all, it's been a looooong time not posting anything (due to not doing any 3D )

Here is the beginning of my last project, that I'll try to do as best as possible. I'm really into biking in general, and even though I wanted to do something cartoon style, I've decided to do something technically correct.

First step : the bike. I've used Zbrush and Silo, and I'm a long way from having everything finished. Most dimensions have been taken from my bikes, with a bit of improvisation.
I've always had troubles with mechanical parts & hard edges, so I figured out that doing the bike as realistic as possible would be a good thing for me.

I hope I'll be able to post the finished bike soon, and then start the character and positionning.

Still working on the bike. Here is the rear derailleur I just finished. I still have difficulties with mechanical elements and hard edges, but I'm slowly getting better.

If only I had more time, I could go on faster and move on to the more interesting part of the project : the bike racer.

    Anyway, here it is :

I've had lots of troubles between Silo and Zbrush, so I just went back to a full Zbrush modeling.

This is ... a bit better, I did a bit of work after watching the hockey game.

I'll have to work more on the chain (it's been done very fast), add brakes and shifters and cables and bottle cages and ... damn, so much still to do.

I hope you like as much as I do. I start to really like that bike, I'd ride it if I could

That's it, I finished the bike

So, I hope you'll like it. I made progress on my mechanical skills (it took me less and less time to make the different parts) and I'm satisfied with the final object.

I'll now start the cyclist, and hope that I can give it the same "love" that I gave to the bike.
