Been reworking the pants a bit. Was inspired by some of the images I found of world war 1 uniform pants.

The pants are looking much better Chris. Really liking how this guy is coming out! Throw Reign of Fire on and I am sure you will get some wicked inspiration from it

This is looking amazing. I would say his hands are his weakest points at the moment, they don't look very manly at the moment.

Some more updates on the clothing. Trying to think of some ideas for the gloves. If anyones got some suggestions I would appreciate them.

Great work Chris! I like the proportions and the sense of scale that he has.

I think the cut out gloves look better, and bring his hair back

Looking forward to see him completed!

I would get on Google and look at motorcycle gloves, as they're usually pretty cool looking for inspiration.

thanks! yeah i kind of wanted to do some nice chunky gloves , motorcycle inspired sort of. Ive done a character with fingerless gloves in the past and want to try something a bit different.

If he's going to be rock climbing, fingerless is the way to go. If it's winter gear and he is wearing crampons after all, then full fingered make sense. His axe sort of looks like an ice tool, so you could take it in a mixed/ice climbing direction. More opportunity for creating wicked looking tools based on those used for ice climbing......

    Heres some:http://www.mtntools.com/cat/alpineice/axes/02tools.htm

Really nice work, I'm enjoying see it come together.
