In a previous thread I posted some of the zbrush models I did for the game Afro Samurai....It was suggested to me recently, that I upload a bit more where that came from and show a bit of process...On this project, there seemed to be nearly as much 2d developement as 3d execution...Posted here are most the models I made, with the concept aid of Paul Sullivan and Khari Evans (and a dose of the original artwork of Okazaki and Gonzo's anime).
When I signed up at Namco, there wasn't a ton of concept support so I filled this role for a bit, but the team could heave a sigh of relief when Paul Sullivan came on, he seemed to be a machine, so I could sit back and concentrate on modeling...Prior to Paul joining, I would just interpret and elaborate on comparatively rudimentary artwork from the original anime production. Later Khari Evans joined, and helped in several designs. The content was a blast to work with; by the end of the project I think we all felt like we were 'just warming up...' I'd like to see more happen with this franchise, but for now, here's some production and previs art.

i love how your work pushes form so much , the characters look very expressive and have lots of personality to them. its very hard for a 2d concept to translate this well to 3d , you have done an excellent job brutha !
