That's pretty cool. I am happy to see him doing that, I can think of no one who could do it better. (Well, besides H.R. Giger himself, obviously.)

trancetechkid is correct on the fact of having to work on a movie for a certain amount of time before you are given a screen credit at the end of the film. Normally, that time is 3 months. This fact is exactly why I got an IMDB credit but not a screen credit for Avatar.

Congrats on the Top Row Gutalin!

(And, thanks for posting even larger images, my desktop wallpaper looks even better now.)

Congrats Alex, and once more many, many thanks for sharing your stunning work here with us.

I´m happy to know, your hard work was seen fit, for being put onto the big screen and is now a part of SiFi saga. Thumbs up for that one too.

Cheers mate and hopefully we see allot of stunning and inspiring work from your hands in near future posted here.

I just saw the trailer, and knew it was your work. There's definitely something in it that makes it uniquely yours, despite your influences.

I got on here to see if I was right, and sure enough. I think that proves it. Great job.

    Very nice concept works Gutalin!

I feel it necessary to point out the many talented Artists at MPC who had worked on this incredible show to put together some stunning visuals. I thoroughly enjoyed the film, and look forward to seeing it again.

I was one of the lucky artists that had the opportunity to see some of the works first hand on this show.

The Alien space ship, that Gutalin has so finely concepted, was actually put together by a very talented team at MPC, who Modelled and Textured it from scratch with uniquely designed and extremely fine details that would hold up-close for the big screen. This is what you see in the film. Sadly it is rare that any concept can be used for the finished asset, but it was one of the teams many other references along side Giger's incredible work of course.

Not to take any of what Gutalin did for granted, concept is a very important phase. But lets not forget the many other modellers, texture artists, lookdev artists, lighters, animators, compositors and of course countless other artists that brought this stuff together! Both MPC, Weta, and any other facilities that contributed. Good work!

    Thumbs up Awesome

Your works are awesome, pretty different from other works i saw, using Displacement maps would help to add those details, it would be really hard to do all those little details with hand...

And to all those credited, I would like to express my appreciation for their work. The film came out very well tied together. I thought the special effects meshed beautifully with the live acting. This overall made for a very beautiful film that suspended disbelief quite well.
