I decided to start a sketchbook thread, and so here it begins with a wip of the Pigchef, a little sketch I've done that I just couldn't resist to sculpt in Zbrush, and since Pigs are very intuitive symbols of abundance and prosperity I thought I post it for the new year.

Thanks. According to my daughter that's snot, and I agree.
The drawing is called "the secret ingredient" and it wants to illustrate the danger of complaining at a restaurant before you finish eating.

More Pigchef WIP, I worked on the posing, to make him more like the original sketch. I then just grabbed a few renders and alphas and composited them in PS. Next it's more sculpting throughout, then detailing, I probably want more props in the scene also, and I may even swap the snot for a foot or some other human chunk actually, just an idea. Then when all this is done it'll be polypainted.

Thanks Ares and Moni, here's an update, I worked on the proportions, more work on the pose again, and then some sculpting, a start on the face and quite some work on the trousers.

Here's some more work pigwork. Three matcap renders composited in PS, the blood is painted in PS too.
Next is detailing and polypaint.

the detail. wouldn't it be cool to see this schwein with some extra details
on his body ?

as i read what you've written, i would say:
yeah, max. can't wait anylonger i really thought about that detailing thing and it would be great to see the schwein with some cool details.
i think it will look superb with the right details on it.

since your post 2weeks ago i'm waiting for the details on the body

Al, you're absolutely right, I used the time I had to work on the body ratio, tweaking the pose again, all that preparatory kind of work until I was completely happy. Then I brought in the foot and now time to detail has finally come. I'll make a mess of him. Promise.

Hi Derek, thanks, I wouldn't consider myself into gore either but can't help noticing that I lined up here two characters holding bodyparts.
There must be some subconscious reason I've done that.
