hey etcher thanks for a heads up on all those artists, I have not seen the work of many of them before.
it was a little easier to study anatomy when i was in school since we had anatomy class, bones to draw, very rare trips to the cadaver lab etc. well im out of school and im planning on buying a male sculpt model from anatomy tools. I want to get the V2, is there any reason you think the V3 would be a better choice?

ineversleep: you're welcome! I'm learning so much from these artists, I feel it's very important to give them credit! Quote:"very rare trips to the cadaver lab" lucky you-I never had the chance. On the FOT model V3 is good if you need the colors as a guide to show you exactly what's bone, muscle tendon, etc, but the different colors can be a bit distracting when you want to see how the volumes of the sculpt catch light/shade. If you don't need the color guide, I'd go for V2 ,which has detacheable arms and head, like V3, which is very useful to me. V1 does not have detacheable arms and head. hth .

I love ZBC because of all the great work, the great tutorials, and because of all the nice people.
BUT.... ZBC is also very, VERY entertaining!
I`m often laughing out so loud that my husband looks at me... shakes his head... and asks me ARE YOU NUTS??
Everytime I blow-dry my hair I`m surfing on ZBC and read the posts from a few certain members because those posts are a) informativ, b) funny, c) both. And you`re one of those members.
Since you`re on my Z-talking list.. I know that you have almost 1800 posts. Like me! We should celebrate that! (Erm, ok, don`t count THIS post... hrrrr it`s post number 1801).

Moni-Poroni: Funny?!? You're probably confusing me with someone else... I'm always dead serious. Life is too short to have fun. . You're right about ZBC; I'm very critical about internet, forums, virtual communication, etc but ZBC radiates a lot of positivity; top artists post and are willing to answer questions, constructive criticism / help is commonplace; it's really boosting my energy/creativity! Imho, ZBrush justifies the use of a computer as a visualization tool and ZBC justifies the use of virtual communication... .Post 1800 eh... numerology... I knew it was going to surface again... , maybe we should celebrate post 2000? Anyways, I'll make sure that #1800 will be on your thread... you'll see... . well if you ever do get the chance to go to the lab take it because its not something your going to forget. if your local zoo has a research centre you could always ask if you can study some skulls and bones.
thanks you confirmed what i suspected, im going to get the v2 i dont need the colors or veins etc im just interested in the muscle, bone, volume and the detachable head, id get v1 if the head came off.

ineversleep: seems I was wrong about the FOT V1 not having removable parts (thank you Santis!). I guess the price difference between V1 and V2 lies in the included turntable (Santis, correct me if I'm wrong ) , which I find very usefull.

Santis: thanks bud! It's the weirdest thing: last time I checked the FOT site, the parts didn't come of, I checked again just now... and guess what... .

V1 features - if you go to letter "L" in the bottom right it shows the
arms and male organ are detachable, but i could be wrong.
the turntable is cool too and the matte grey so id get the V2 anyways

Yes, Etcher is right, the trunable is the only difference (and the color).
I guess the head didn't come of on the earlier version of the V1, V1.2 (the one they are actually selling) have a detachable head and doesn't for example have the Richer's band, so they're probably just not showing an up to date model on their site.
