Starting the last round boxing scene this morning, between Muhammad Ali and George Forman,..when Ali finally comes off of the ropes and nails Forman with a flurry of lightning fast left and rights, which buckle Forman and send him down to the canvas for the count, giving Ali the World Championship Boxing title ..One More Time.
This will be the Twenty Ninth in a series of boxer and boxing paintings that i'm working on.

Flushing out the figure of Muhammad Ali this morning as he comes off of the ropes and lays into George Forman with a flurry of left and rights, which send Forman to the canvas for the count in the last round of this championship title bout between the two of them.

hi glenn, i have found also that the mannequins in zbrush are a great starting point for dynamic poses. its good to get the essential laid down in the beginning, and that is where the mannequins help. i really love your work on this last round, also portrait work is off to a very good start. keep it going :-) .. watch for the bones, that they stay connected... i am looking forward to this particular piece :-)

Thank You Kokoro Yep, those mannequins are a great thing..I just wish that they had been around around earlier..would have saved me a whole lot of aggravation and time...oh well, at least they are here to use and enjoy now.....I'll for sure watch out for the underlying bone structure as you have suggested..Thanks for that observation..much welcomed and appreciated
So far, it has all been done from imagination and memory. I have looked at a few videos, and still shots from the fight, just to get a feel for what happened in it, but haven't copied from them,...per se....so there are a ton of errors to correct in my version of it... i'm sure...hopefully ill find them all and correct them all as I go along with it.

the first of your last post is my favourite, from how it reflects motion and mood. i tend to like the colors in the second one better, they fit more (to me) with the heat of the fight.. but, as said, the first appeals more to me from composition, and everything else :-) great work, wonderful studies
