hi glenn, i have found also that the mannequins in zbrush are a great starting point for dynamic poses. its good to get the essential laid down in the beginning, and that is where the mannequins help. i really love your work on this last round, also portrait work is off to a very good start. keep it going :-) .. watch for the bones, that they stay connected... i am looking forward to this particular piece :-)

the first of your last post is my favourite, from how it reflects motion and mood. i tend to like the colors in the second one better, they fit more (to me) with the heat of the fight.. but, as said, the first appeals more to me from composition, and everything else :-) great work, wonderful studies
