Kokoro..Thank You..Glad you enjoy that one...Really fun way to use FiberMesh, and quick also..Maybe 30 min tops for that piece...Good and easy way to study composition, color, lighting ect....I think the word that you were in dought of,..maybe.... is Melancholy..

Thank You Deke....No beaver,..The lion already ate him.....I am just studying the works of Monet, Gauguin, Rousseau, and a few other Masters to get a feel for how they used plants, color, lighting and design/composition in their works,..while i'm playing around with this new FiberMesh feature in ZBRUSH..Mostly just having fun with it at this point in time...

Worked some more on this boxer piece this morning...The FiberMesh mostly.
    All ZBRUSH.

Alot of sculpting, twweking and refinements done on him this morning...broadened shoulders..lenghtened lower legs..started working on his back ect...Still a ton of refinements to do on him yet....his face in particular...but I captured the emotion and mood I am after, and have that established to start with, and that's always a good starting point.....the rest is just secondary.

I love the overall sculpt, Glenn. But a couple of things kind of stick out. The whites seem too bright, they're almost blindingly white and pretty distracting as they are right now. And the hair seems to have a weird shadow or something creating a diagonal line across the head. Keep up the great work!

Hey Thank You Gary.....You are right on both counts...I'm not sure what's going on with the hair part,..it's the second coat of FiberMesh that I did a couple of days ago..doesn't match the bottom and first coat of FiberMesh..Makes that line happen that you mentioned....Looks even worse when I BPR it...turns blue....I think i'm lost and confused when it comes to the BPR functions..Give me about a year...LOL.
The brightness of the whites...Will tone them down when I take it into Corel Painter, and turn it into a painting with some oil paint brushstrokes,..might even just polypaint some darker tones over the whites while in ZBRUSH...Whatever works best for the piece...Not hooked on any preconcieved notions of right and wrong..You know how that goes..LOL

Hey Thanks again Gary, and I really like your Hobbit house by the way..Came out great......I was just trying the fog method that you wrote about in your thread..couldn't get it to work, but like I said,..give me about a year..Slow learner here..

Took care of the two idems that you mentioned above Gary....Just adjusted the lights within ZBRUSH..Still not perfect, but at least I figured out how to do it without leaving ZBRUSH...

Hey..Thank You Deke....You know, ..I totally forgot about the new save thing in the FiberMesh settings..I must be getting old..LOL

OK, ..I hope the pixologic web master demerit police don't give me a ticket for posting this, like they threatened to do yesterday...I guess my WIPS for this piece were not good enough to post in the bottom row or to their liking...I thought that they were pretty good experiments myself...but what do I know..

    Finished Version
99 percent ZBRUSH, with a few touchups and refinements done at the end in Corel Painter.

Going in the right direction Glenn!
Right now it seems to lack a focal point, I know it's just a WIP, but it probably has to do with the dim lighting. Keep it up

To me, the focal point is his taped hands..brightest spot in the piece...and where my eye is drawn to when looking at it..But now that you've mentioned it,...mabe a butterfy and bumble bee perched on his hand, or hovering above it, might do the trick....Float like a butterfly...sting like a bee...was his motto...a little symbolism in there might be just what the doctor ordered...Thanks for the inspiration for the idea Santis...Much appreciated..Thumbs up.
