Did some refinements on this fighter this morning....feet and hand areas mostly... smoothed out the mesh in those areas and shaped it so it is more sculptable.

A success on this last one.
Very very nice, you captured something really interesting. IMO of course.
Great silhouette my friend! Actually, close to classic sculpture, somehow.
Less is more Glenn. Always.

...unless one has been brainwashed/conditioned to think otherwise that is.

UFC Fighter Kimbo Slice
Got a few minutes to work on this figure this morning...Adjusted the pose so it has more tension, torque, and twist between the angles of the pelvis and the torso as they relate to each other..shifting the center of gravity within the figure...creating a forward thrust from the body core.
Also did some more experimenting with the use of dynamic light and shade.
Will work on the details last, ...after the pose and lighting are established.

A couple of shots of the figure without the Dynamic Light and Shade.
Need to adjust his feet and toes so they look like they are digging into the canvas creating a forward lung and thrust action..might shift his extended foram to a position where he is giving an uppercut punch..haven't decided on that yet..need to adjust the legs also.

I got some time to work on the position of the feet this morning so that they have more of a grounded feel and forward thrust action...Still tons of stuff left on the figure to do yet.

hi glenn, i enjoy watching your lightning studies,,and how you create the poses. its great how you get the feel of strength and movement into your poses/
who is this boxer with the weird hairdo ? (as i said, i only know muhamed ali, and joe frazer, but am now curious, as i feel its a portrait...) ...
always a pleasure to check how you are progressing with your project.

Thank You Kokoro..His name is Kimbo Slice..Im doing him for a challenge over at CG HUB..Not really my cup of tea as far as the art and sport of fighting goes..I much prefer the golden age of boxing which vanished many years ago with boxers like ALI and Frazier..but it's all good practice of action, anatomy, and the use of ZBRUSH...so I figured I would give it a shot..not too many challenges around that interest or inspire me these days..This one was as close to boxing as there is, so I am having some fun with it..
Here is a link to the challenge, and to Kimbo Slice
