    Hey Santis!

    God Jul :P

    Great price on the skeleton!
I have used it quite a few times already to check the symmetry in my models.

I can really recommend buying it!

yeah seriously Santis. that stuff looks just like better lit from a 100 miles distance. one of these alone could seriously impact your future zbrushing capabilities

    Default Last update!

Morgaine: Thanks man, right back at ya!

    alienthumb.jpg

Here's the first update of the year, and the last one in this skecthbook.
I feel I have to start a new one later on this year with better, more ambitious work, since I feel that a lot of work in this one does not represent my current skill level anymore.
This little project started out as an innocent scribble in my sketchbook, and I feelt I could allow myself to make it into a little project, since it's a new year and all
With that said, here it is, an alien completely modeled, textured and rendered (with the passes comped in Photoshop) in ZBrush.

    Alien.jpg

Here is a little breakdown of how this model was created in Zbrush:

    sideandfront.jpg

The idea with the antennas came a bit into the process as you can see, but they were added with zspheres and combined with the rest easily since the topology was so clean.

Here are the passes used in photoshop for the final comp:

I hope this helps someone and that you like the image

    very nice rundown Santis.
one word about the front sss button. for whatever weird reason it always defaults to off, once you close and reopen Zbrush.
I saved the shader with Front on, but that gets ignored and since I am working quite often with it, I noticed I have to turn it on again each time I start a new Zbrush session.
