    Default War III

    Hi guys,

this is my latest work. Itīs still WIP. This soldier has been made based on Ricardo Barreiro and Juan Gimenez comic story called "War III". The rifle is based on a concept from Killzone 2 game. Iīm trying to get some comic/cgi style for this guy.
    Max, Zbrush and Photoshop.
    Hope you like it.

Hello there, this guy is looking great!...i think textures are very nice and style too. His head looks very friendly, i don't know if he needs to be dangerous looking or something like that, but this type of mask somehow make me smile .

But this is a great artwork man, keep it up!

Great work. Looks like the guy in the comic has a spotty camoflage. Are you going to go for an urban camo colour as well?

This is such a cool design and model. Love the color scheme as well.

My only comment is that the chipped edges on the weapon makes it feel very sharp, like a knife's edge. Maybe the chipped border is too big and the intensity too high.

wow, sick stuff bro! did u model the gun and most of his technical equipment in max? i was wondering if thats just more efficient than sculpting it. i want to make a simple handgun for my next character and i'm thinking of just modeling it in maya to keep the straight edges.

Thanks dude, maybe you are right. But I notice a big difference between the turboSmooth modifier in max and the subdivision way in Zbrush. Maybe the problem is there.

Hi, sarakawa. Thatīs right. I prefer to model all the hard edges stuff in max. And use Zbrush just for details and, of couse, all the clothing, fabric, etc. Is more efficient for me, I have more control.

Well, some updates and changes. More wrinkles in the pants, grenades added and boots sculpted and textured.

    Thumbs up

I enjoy your work! Cool design, I like a color solution. Hes mask also look funny, in good meaning . The style is close to Metal Gear Solid 4, i think Kodjima would use your model with pleasure
