What a lovely painting, thanks for sharing it

I am looking into the Uncanny, and the relationship between Reality and Dreams this year. This is where the inspiration for my sculpture came from. What, if I may ask, inspired your painting?

    Default Long overdue update

Its been ages since I posted anything on ZBC, so I thought I would put up some pics of my latest work. It is a work in progress that is being shelved for the minute, and will later be rendered properly in Maya in an environment.

The working title for it is "Self Portrait as Another on a Plate".

The reason for this is that I started off with a 3d scan of myself (shown below) and then used this as a base mesh to create a sculpture of someone else, as a head on a plate.

MrHappy - Really nice surrealist style! Did you make your own scanner? I have a friend that made one at home for under $200...

Hi Kongni, thanks a lot and cheers for the info on the scanner. A friend of mine was needing heads for a science experiment, so I volunteered to let her scan me in exchange for my head

    Default Man-ish

    Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am testing out a base mesh I got from 3DCreative (With their zbrush character modelling ebook) to see what I can get out of it. To do so I am making a female head, using reference from 3D.SK.

I can't post the ref pics here, but for those who use 3D.SK the lady is called Zlata. What I'm really needing help with is, how can I make the model look more feminine? I know hair and eyebrows will help, but my main background has been sculpting male characters, so I'm not too sure what is missing thats slowing my progress. It still looks a bit man-ish to me at the moment

Hi stijgerart. Thanks a lot I am not too sure what kind of scanner it was. It was a friend who was given it by the University who scanned my face. Then she sent me the file in my email I will ask her next time I see her, and post up what it was.

For the sculpt above I brought it into Zbrush and projected it at low resolution onto a polysphere and used it as a base for further sculpting. To be honest I don't think the original mesh would be good for sculpting on.

I was wondering, is anyone else finding that 3.5 R3 crashes all the time while using imageplaneX? I'm doing some work for a friend based on her orthographics, and I've had 10 crashes in under an hour.

A little test project inspired by the notion of the Death Drive. Work on this has finished, but it has become the catalyst for an even better project.

    Default Slug

    Long time no post

This is some progress on a collaborative project I am working on with my friends Steven and David. Let me know what you think. The final slug will have more human eyeballs.
