    Cool

WELCOME. You are ZBrushCentral's very first Newbie! Stick around and look an learn. You'll find all the answers here.

You are talking about getting experience regarding Zbrush aren't you?? ZBrushers are sexy people you know ....

If you have any questions just post them here - in this thread. There is a number of PDF manuals at the Pixologic webpage free to download and print out.

What is "AIM" (for those of us with walking canes and grammerphone earpieces)

Make yourself heard, and you'll be answered.
Do you have a problem with anything in particular?

Hi I'm a newbie also. I must say that I really like the look of Zbrush. I havn't worked much with any other software so I really don't know how tough the learning process will be. I apperciate all the postings from other's. ZbrushCentral has a nice feel to it. So I'll be in and out of here quite a bit.

For your first question, here are some good head tutorials:
1.Creepy Skull Tutorial Click on ZBrush and then Creepy Skull Tutorial. You may have a little trouble with this one because it was written for an earlier version of ZBrush.

2.Southern's Tutorials Try the Space Monkey one.

    3.Kurisu's ZBrush Rocks

In answer to your second question, I assume you mean is ZBrush a paint program or a 3D modeler program? The answer is both. It depends on which tool you use. If you use a 3D primitave tool, like the cube, sphere, or cylinder, then you can use the Transform>Edit commands to sculpt and paint your object. If on the other hand you use the simple brush, alpha brush, snake tool, or many other tools, you will have a 3D object, but you won't be able to rotate, move, resize, or edit it.
I hope that wasn't too confusing.

    Update:
    This is the Transform Palette.

Here is what the buttons do: (going across the top row left to right, then the bottom row left to right.)
Draw Pointer- This draws your 3D primative on the canvas.
Move- This moves your object around the canvas.
    Scale- This resizes your object.
    Rotate- This rotates your object.
Edit- This puts you in edit mode. In edit mode you can sculpt and paint your object. It also changes the first three buttons. The draw pointer button adds or subtracts from your object, or it can also change only color/material. The move will pull your areas of your object. The scale object will scale ares of your object.
Snapshot object- This places your object on the canvas, you cannot edit the object if you do this.
Add Marker- Adds a marker. Markers record information like material, size, and postion about your object.
    Remove Marker-Removes markers.

And finaly, here are the tools that can be edited:
    Cube3D
    Ring3D
    Cylinder3D
    Cone3D
    Terrain3D
    Plane3D
    SphereInder3D
    SweepProfile3D
    Circle3D
    Arrow3D

For more information about the transform palette go to Pixologic. Click on "Support", then
"Download ZBrush documentation, including reference guides and tutorials."
Try the "Modeling basics" and "Transform Palette" tutorials.

found it alone! it's in: http://www.senntient.com/tutorials/s...iant_body.html

although it's a quite old tutorial, I think it still has a few nice things to know. take a look if you don't know it.

    Default another newbee

I am new to cad and I must admit that it can be very frustrating at times however, I find that if you take a reqular dose of zbrushcentral it does ease the headache. Although, the wife is taking over the headaches I guess that we must just suffer for our art.
