    Default Groboto - Modo

    Hi MTB....

You should try Groboto and Modo... fun and both work well with ZBrush....

Hi, that looks very neat, good technique. Wouldnt it be much faster though to just approach a model like this in a "traditional" poly modeling package? Would involve much less steps.

Thank you for the suggestions. I like both of those as well as 3Dcoat too. I might grab me a Groboto (looks fun) though I have enough with still trying to master C4D and After Effects (and many MANY other software). Besides, I am so addict to Z right now, I don't wanna play with anything else...except maybe C4D and Wings when I take a break...lol! I would sacrifice many burgers and fries to the holy hungry god in my stomach if only it would grant my wish for a GoZ to Wings3D. Maybe even Blender too. I think the low budge, independent firms and hobbyists would be very thankful. Until then, I'll have to settle for cold coffee, naners, and dreams of the all powerful Z.

P.S. You should see my Z wish list, its crazy.

Of course it would. Especially if it were for work and I had a deadline. But this is more for the hobbyist. For those who don't have the money for the high end software, and for those die hard Z junkies that wants to live and breath in Z and make something that is not only 100% Z but, when showcased, might beg one to say/ask...no way that's 100% ZBrush...look at the low poly wire....no way.

P.S. NO, that's not what I'm trying to do. Well, maybe say that at least to myself.

Thanks for this MTB. And agreed wholeheartedly. Something I've run into as well is that often times for simple modeling edits like "oops, I need to extrude this, or "hmm, gotta inset that", the transpose and the edge loop tools prevent the need to jump out of ZBrush. I really think that's where this stuff really shows it worth. It can be a time saver even if it doesn't look it when modeling something from scratch.

If you combine it with the image grid and the topology brush, you have a VERY powerful way to START models, especially considering that the image grid is one of the best ortho setups I've ever seen. I like it even more than Modo's.

You are welcome and Exactly! ZBrush has always been wonderful to me! Now, with these new tools, it's wicked powerful as well as still being a place to work in that feels like home.
