Default Pretty new to Zbrush but here...

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to Zbrush but love working with it. I'm currently working on a Captain America/Red Skull piece. Here's a test shot for Cap. The eyes look a little wonky(too reflective) but other crits and tips would be awesome. Love all of the work posted here BTW. Gives me a LOT of inspiration...CapAm copy.JPG

It's a great start, very heroic. Look forward to seeing how you push it, and I can just imagine a zbrush'd Red Skull

alright, heres a slight update. my red skull head made from a polysphere and an updated cap. I added a few more wrinkles to the mask part and changed the suit pattern to one I like better. i'm trying to transpose him which is proving to be kinda difficult for me. oh well, I'll figure it out though...redskull.jpg cap.jpg

alright, guys heres an update to Cap's pose. The first one is the final pose with a few things still needed to be added like the belt and pants details. I'm almost done with him though! The second pic a play test with renders and a color scheme for his outfit. Hope you guys like!

I don't mind the reflective eyes since this is supposed to be based on a comic book - so hyper real (as in idealized real) is okay.

In cap's profile he seems to have a weak chin for a super hero. Also, I would say the length of the arms are a bit short.

Keep at it - I'm sure this will turn out great.

tony- thank you for your advice. I might add a little to the chin, but I didn't want to make it too prominent just because steve rogers was a pencil-neck dweeb before the super soldier syrum, and I don't think that would change bone structure much(just my opinion...), so I want more of an average-yet-not-average type look... if that makes any sense? but you are definately right about the arms! don't know why I didn't notice that before... I'm going to fix that right now. thanks again!

Hey that's really nice work. I like the melancholy expression that Cap's got. Nice subtlety. I also think you've done some good work on the belt and stitches. Personally I feel the material for the fabric looks a little thin on the face (I'm guessing it's leather or some kind of polyester/carbon fibre modification). Also, the part where the arms connect to the body look a little strange. I think the raised arm would influence the pectoralis a bit more, and the other bicep looks a bit deflated. At that angle, you may even be able to see the tricep a bit. You should also watch the length of the arms, they seem a bit small to me. Small changes, but they could make a big difference. Keep going.

alright, this isn't the FINAL of what I want to do, but this is the finished pic of cap. Red Skull next... I did everything in zbrush. base mesh is a practice bust. all renders in Zbrush/photoshop. no polypaint, all coloring in Ps. worked from my laptop with my little laptop touchpad. thank god for lazymouse...
