I'm tired of Mac users moaning about it...they can just use boot camp. It's not like windows users can use Mac OSs.

in regards to possible competitors, but this way of announcing an upcoming
    release doesn't serve anybody.

Even if they are a small company, how many staff does it take to send
out a message giving people that are waiting a clear picture of what's happening.
Does it hurt to send out an extra message?
Will coding grind to a halt because of it?

And if they don't know how long it will take, that's ok too, as long as some-
body takes a couple minutes to tell me.

I remember reallusion not meeting their latest i-cone release.
The release got delayed only a few days late but at least there was someone
taking the time to tell people on the forum what was happening.

Yes its as simple as that, right now you have lot of people complaining, that could have been avoided with a single: sorry we can't meet the deadline we have a bug x in x provoke etc

It takes what, 30 seconds to make a stiky, don't tell me it will slow the bug fixing process, they had people working probably for hours on the demo videos...

I can assure you if they issued a message with a reason here, everything would be quit all of a sudden, instead they say nothing, they are off schedule it will be bashing time when the app get out and some bugs get found (cause lets be honest even if pixo work is awesome there will be bugs).

It's not anger so much as annoyance. If the goods aren't there, don't get people's hopes up then dash them at the last possible minute, it aggravates almost everyone and causes resentment for no reason. By the time the update does show, rather than be heralded with cries of "WOW I LOVE YOU PIXOLOGIC!", it'll be greeted with a thousand voices shouting "ABOUT F*%&ING TIME."

    Which would you rather have?
Gotta be honest with you, I've not experienced any of this "hopes up" and "dashed" business. With every announcement it's been "Oh, that's nice" and then I move along to whatever I was working on. Then the next announcement, "Ok, got the message." So when it actually is released I'm sure my reaction will be "3.5 is out, cool." So no, no 1000 voices, just 1000 styluses.

Ah well, see you guys later. Back to what I was working on.

Pst: It would be nice to get the download for the Labor Day weekend Pixo.

I think that has allot to do with the dissatisfaction...people were looking forward to 3 days of 3.5

Oh completely, I'm mostly ambivalent at this point, but you can certainly see why there is frustration. I included the 'almost everyone' caveat just for you

you guys are nuts, they put out a notice saying it was going to be delayed, why on earth do you care what bug or what ever is causing it to be delayed? its not really any of your buisness. they notified us on the support page that it was delayed. being a baby about it is not going to make it show up any faster. in fact i'm crossing my fingers that it gets delayed another week, because man i really wanna test out the new tools. but watching you guys implode would be even funner

The only thing imploding here is the fanfare round the announcement of the release.

From the support center since 9/1:

If you do not receive your upgrade instructions by WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 please submit a support ticket to let us know. We will be able to look into the matter and get your upgrade instructions sent to you. Please do not submit a ticket before then, as we will not be able to assist until after all upgrade emails have been sent by Cleverbridge. Any support tickets requesting upgrade instructions that are sent prior to September 9 will be closed without a response.
I'm a little surprised that people are having a hard time absorbing the meaning here. It means that you should not expect your upgrade email much before Sept. 9th. I don't think Monday is a holiday in Germany, so I'd expect that (unless they need to delay again) that it will likely starting shipping in the next few days.

Given Pixologic's loooooooooooooooong history of never releasing anything when they say it will be released, how can anyone be seriously surprised? (I'm actually surprised they only delayed a week . . . a month is more in Pixologic's historical character . . .)

    -K
