Oh man, when I read that the first time my brain almost exploded from trying to imagine the sheer awesomeness of that. Ha ha. I think I might an alternate version like that....

womball - Thanks! I like making things that are more towards the whimsical side. I am workign on some stuff that is more towards the "realistic" side just because I think it would really help my portfolio, and it also presents a different set of challenges.

stefanobernardi - Awesome idea! That actually makes me want to change this piece to be something that I just keep adding on to. Like turning it in to a very large diorama of sorts. then I could keep adding on more levels of pure awesome!

I took a little break form my normal cartoony stuff to do some "realistic" fantasy stuff. I started out with the superaveragemale.ztl, messing around with ZBrush 4, started to sculpt a little and got carried away, so I am going with the flow now. I think I am headed to a troll type of character, like a Scandinavian-fairytale type of troll. Y'know, the scary mo-fo's that eat children and puppies, not the modern trolls who only seem to pick on invincible elves and rangers....




Anybody have ideas and where to head next with this? I'm kinda running low on idea juice.

zber2 - Yeah, I saw that site a while back. I haven't been there in a while so thanks for the reminder! Lots of great stuff there.

Here's another 'lil update. I still want to add things like earrings and a bone club or something. Then I think I'll be ready to start adding details 'n stuff.

lemonnado - Glad you like it! I am still in the process of doing more to it. I just wanted to take a little break from it, though. I have some big plans for the Elepharkank!

HUN-Firebat - Thanks! If I color it, I was thinking of a cooler palette of colors, like desaturated purples and grey.


Here's another update. I think I am almost done with the character itself, but now I am going to pose him and maybe make a little pedestal thingy for him to go on.
