    Post TRex Illustration

I posted something similar not too long ago. It shows how Zbrush can enhance an illustration.

    Mr B,
Fascinated to see how this technique can add so much surface complexity and believability/integrity in the muscle structure beneath the surface.

The time saved from achieving this technique traditionally/painting must be phenomenal.

The monotone feel is also wonderful as it has that tar pit or peat bog preserved look.

Would love to see you do a Peat Bog Man using this technique.

Will you do that for me huh, will ya,huh?

This is simply an imported image directly on the canvas. All work in 2.5D tools. I did try placing it on a 3D plane, but didn't like the results as much.

jibberish, you will see a stronger dimentional effect if there were more midtones in your original drawing. Very cool sketch though!

I've been going through my family history photo albums, and there aren't any shots of a peat bog man. What did he look like?

    Mr B,
As it so happens I had a photo of Pete Bog tucked away in some old party photo's.
Here's the very dude after going commatose with to much Brandy.

Not the best photo of him I know, but he's elusive and usually prefers to stay submerged in quality peat for a few centuries at a time.

Ken, I do enjoy the dino illustrations you post. Reminds me: I'll be heading to Drumheller, Alberta, this summer. Fantastic museum there, filled with dinosaur fossils. Everything from bits of spine to complete skeletons. Bringing a camera (I'm thinking there should be some excellent textures.)

As usual Ken, you've started a thread that has gone into diverse directions!

And to Fil: Way to think ahead, and focussed!
