    Default Wheelerz sculptz (nudity)

Greetings to fellow Zfiends! Well I decided to start a new profile, previously I was benjw703. I've been using Zbrush for 2 years give or take and am close to graduating from Seattle A.I. studying Game Art & Design baby! I cannot thank pixologic enough for such and amazing medium to dabble within, thank you!
Well here is a recent work, your average old swat guy. The low was constructed in Max at about 10,000 polys. Detailed, textured, posed within ZB and was then exported back to max and used in a short cinematic for a class project.
    Comments or questions welcome!

Its difficult not having enough time or computing power to fully go into detail. Here are some closeups and as you can see it seems to lack those last couple subdivisions of fine subtleties. Currently unable to upgrade, I've learned to work w/out undoing because at times a single undo can take up to around 1 - 5 mins. Regardless, I'm glad I'm able to do what I can and I guess its a good way of teaching you how to optimize your work process.
The M16 was done pretty quickly. simple box , photograph used for texture, masked according to texture contrast in Zbrush and then deformation inflate to quickly pop out that detail. I'm still unhappy with the head for now (mouth and nose area seems odd) but his face isn't seen much anyway. Boots were done simply with some lazy mouse alpha action and basic masking techniques.

Thanks man, glad to hear from you! I'll always be working on 3D dude, its simply a matter of finding the TIME! So damn sick of the b.s. classes, you know. But hey, just paving the way for the passion! Hope things are cool with you, I'll be on the look out for new stuff..

    Default Alien wip

Here's an alien dude I've been workin on for about a week now, still wondering what kind of direction I want to go with him. I think I want to add some high tech gear or a suit of some kind or maybe just some light clothing or simply keep him more creature like. I don't know if I want to keep his massive brain exposed like that but I kinda like it. Also I was thinking he could be like a spider alien and then maybe add more arachnid features. I know I should just do some 2D concepts but I like just working purely 3D and letting random ideas flow into it. Any comments or suggestions welcome!

Yeah the alien would look cool with the lower half of a spider I think. And I also like how is brain is exposed.

Thank you Vancross and FoOD for the comments, I'm glad you like! I don't know when I'll get back to the alien, I put him on the back burner for now.
Wanted to try my hand at a look alike which is very difficult and a little frustrating at first, yet I find is a very good way to also learn the anatomy of the head better.
Still some mistakes here and there but what can I say, I'm human. Unlike the many machines I see posing as humans posting insane work here! FoOD..what are you? I'm a huge fan of your work. Loved your lava dude for the action hero contest, phenomenal stuff!
Some may recognize who it is, some may not. I leave it open to see if I was successful. As I work more on it, it will become more apparent. Comments or critiques welcome!

    Default Witchblade

This sculpt was actually started well over a year ago and was gathering a bit of dust so I thought I'd brush her off and finally try to finish her!
She is the Witchblade from Image comics created by Michael Turner, a great inspiration to me!
For her suit, I basically took the time to mask her entire body how I wanted it to go, following comic book reference, and then I extracted the mask to make the suit. I tried to keep it like the original style from Turner's drawings yet of course there is quite a bit of my own design elements as well. The suit texture was done quickly but I think it works for now to show in portfolio. More images to come...
