Default Dennis Mejillones (Vsions) Sketch Book

Hello everyone, I thought it would be a good idea to start a sketch book thread. I will be posting my stuff in here from now on. Hope you guys like it.

Figured I would start with something you may have already seen but I wanted to include, Its a Warcraft Undead Warrior based off one of Blizzards concepts.

The Undead Warrior is unbelievable. Can we see gray shader like the soldier and the Thundercat or wireframe of it? The detail in the bone armor is amazing. Great job.

Thanks guys, here are the Wires as requested. I am in the process of putting together a relatively thorough tutorial that covers this project from beggining to end. Its going to go over modeling, texturing, materials, mentalray setting, lights, rigging and what ever else I did. Its alto of stuff so it will take me a few days but It will be worth it I think.

Absolutely Great! The first picture looks like straight from a cover of a gaming magazine.

    What Renderer did you use?

Very solid models! Nice shapes in the warriors armor.

Great job on both the modeling and the texturing of that Undead Warrior.

I have to say The Lord of the Thundercats looks like a big step down modeling wise. You nailed it way better with the Undead Warrior. Hair looks really weird (lord of thundercats), forearm looks strange, presentation is not that great etc..

Don't mean to dig into you, it's just that with the really high quality of the Undead Warrior (including the modeling pics, texturing pics, and of course the great finished piece), I would choose to not show The Lord of the Thundercats model.

JiggyBeatz- Thanks, much appreciated. I rendered the warrior piece out in mental Ray. The soldier dude was rendered using Final Render.

alphagsv- Thank you very much, it was a good learning experience for me.

    Michael Janzen- Thanks alot

tobbeo- Thank Tobbeo, I dont take it as a dig at all In fact I am very greatful for your feedback. The thunder cat piece actually is older than the warrior. It was also more of a static sketch for the purposes of practicing anatomy. I was not nearly as thorough with him as I was with the warrior. In fact the warrior is fully rigged and ready for animation (which is a side project for me) I ended up removing the colored version of the thundercat out of my reel due to your feedback which I do think improved my reel. I left the grey version in there but only briefly as I am still working on new pieces to replace him once they are done. I think you will like my next piece much better.

    CGroker-thank you sir!
