    Thanks for the replies guys!!

Damien: Thanks man for all the input man!! haha Clint, I'd never though of that, but you've got a point there. Snake is very Clint! I'm glad this showed up in mine, though I'd never intended for it to. Great ideas on the eyes, I've tried to apply them, and I'm pretty satisfied with the results now.. plus, I added some intentional Clint to them this time haha.

Sarakawa: Thanks a lot man!! I did change it quite a bit, wanted to have it less stylized and a bit more realist.

Raw: Thanks a lot man!! How do you feel about the changed eye? I think I managed to keep the same expression...

    And, the update:

    Thanks again guys!
    Cheers,
    Daniel

Ok here's the pose, what do you think? There'll be a cig in one hand and the gun in the other...

now it's a matter of refining the modeling and then the high frequency details and textures... I'm thinking of trying out the HD geo map possibilities...we'll see..

So, this afternoon I put on some Zakk Wylde and refined the cloth on the pants, plus some bells and whistles...

This is going well! I love Solid Snake and I love the style you're depicting him in.
    Keep on refining!

palafoxx: Thanks a bunch man! Glad you liked the pose, It'll make a bit more sense once the hand is in, hopefully.. almost there now, I can see the light

Hey guys! So, this is my final post on Snake for a while. This next week I'll be very busy with a client project and afterwards I'm taking on the rest of the MGS scene for a while, before coming back to round up Snake. But more on that later...

    Missing still:
    -Gun details
    -Gun pocket
    -Hi freq detailing
    -Polypaint job

    hope you like this.

Thanks a lot man, for keeping with me as well...

About the gun, it might be the camera angle, because I did play quite a bit with the gun scale, till it felt right (to me, of course). I'll post some other angles, just to be sure.

    Thanks again!

    Hey guys!
I'm back...sorta. My computer broke on me (logic board, apparently comon with MacbookPros, Apple is recalling it) so I'm here to post this image from before it died.

I had just started working on this, it will be a Fenix for a composition me and my friend are doing, trying to get it into the Digital Art Masters book. After the 30th, I shall resume work on Snake, which I'm looking very much forward to.

Anyways, lemme know what you think and I shall have more once I get my computer back or a new one

Thanks a lot man! I too hope I get a computer soon, it's driving me crazy!
Anyways, continuing on the downtime posting...

I'd like to take the opportunity and just talk a little bit about my company I've mentioned some time ago. Kindo is a company founded by my friend Lucas Kazakevicius (http://lkalavera.cgsociety.org/gallery) and I, as a way of freelancing together. So now whenever I mention Kindo, I mean the two of us

Now, we're preparing some presentation pieces, and I'd like to post a couple now; The sculpting was done by me (and posted here before) and Lucas did the shading, rendering and compositing.

Hey guys, been a little while... the fenix piece is done, I'll post it soon.

Meanwhile, threw on some Miles Davis tonight and started to paint and detail Snake's face. It's actually my first time texturing this kind of work, and polypainting details.. it's great! Would love some input/suggestions...

I've been using Kris Costa's skin alphas, so a big thanks to him, they're great!
