i decided to have a break with the zbrush process to produce some shader test with mental ray.
After a lot of gelly,sticky and other disgusting SSS test, I'd choosen this kind of pallid direction.
I bet you arrived a a lot of interesting looking skin shaders, this seems to be a good balance.

Like the mood in the concept, will be cool if this could carry through into the presentation of your 3D model.
The model looks great so far, I would suggest maybe not having the tongue sticking out like the bottom row of images, for me it looks real cool and freaky in the central head shot with just the teeth but the tongue sticking out looks maybe a little silly or comical or something? Maybe if the shape was different or once it's not so symetrical it'll be fine.
Not critisizing though, looking amazing, keep going!

This is coming along very nicely. Great form, subtleties, colour, render etc. I'm going to keep an eye on this one.
