    Default Big! worrior

Hi guys this is my new personal work.

it's Big! worrior. i finished this work recently.

i used 3DMax, Photoshop, Xnormal and Zbrush. This character Polygon numbers are 17,672(tris) and i used 1024 size 9 textures.
I didn't care about this chacacters Polygon counts and texture size.

I just want to express my own art concepts without limit.

I hope you guys enjoy it and i'm expecting any kinds of comment.

    Thanks guys~

    A beautiful piece.
Poor beggar has to stand up to eat as that armor on his butt would make sitting a tad difficult!

    Amazing work!
Only thing i notice is that that in the final render the pedestral has a better
    metal shader than the armor.
The armour could benefit from changes

Really nice work you have here! Very impressive! I really like the real time viewport renders. I didn't know you could get such a nice look out of Max's viewport!

    Looking good.

However, the body looks too muscly. It almost appears as though you have taken a well muscled slim wariior and expanded him rather than add fat layers. ie there is definition in the musculature that you would never see.
Take a look at these guys.. BIG warriors of the modern age.

Less definition, more taughtness of the flesh and I think you've nailed it.

very cool work.. and i do disagree with some of the comments before.. just to pick out one: i dont see any problem with a "fat" guy like that having obvious musculature.. he definitely is not human.. "humanoid" maybe, but no normal man. so he is just built differently.. you know.. thats where artistic freedom comes in and fantasy. just look at his spine.. does that look like normal human anatomy? no.. and is it done on purpose? yes..

i really like this one.. and it is a great example of anatomic "correctness" and difference in design.. that kind of figure would sure impress me in any game and i could well imagine him coming him running at our favorite heroes in an epic fantasy movie.

keep it up, looking forward to see more of your work :-)

by the way.. even if his armor doesnt allow for comfortable sitting.. i dont get the impression this guy sits around a lot or would even notice something pointy sticking in his buttcheeks ^^ he is made for fighting.. and for crushing the life out of opponents with that mean, brutal hammer of his.

edit: one more thing i just happened to notice.. i often find untextured pieces a lot more interesting then the colored/textured ones. a lot of great sculpting seems to get lost while texturing and colorizing. and even though i think his armor could be more "metally" like some people previously noted, i like the colored version just as much as the plain matcap renders.. something that is VERY rare. one of the very few posts i will rate since i think it is an outstanding piece.. great UVing, great textures, great modelling, great concept, great pose. an overall pleasing model.

    Really great...
it could be interesting to accentuate the difference between materials, the metal render almost like the skin.

    Superb detailing....

    Hi, there!

Astonishing work, you've made there, mate.
I love the detail of his armor but I gotta admit those details don't seem to pop out as good as in the untextured version. It's a strange thing what keeps happening to me too.

About his belly, to be honest the rib-cage area bothers me a little aswell.
You know, it is art and you don't really have any limitations, but the 'gradation' of muscles to fat doesn't convince me. I'd probably omit those 'oblique external muscles' and give him a plumper 'adipose tissue' in his belly area.
